Reheat that steak in some butter and have steak and eggs for breakfast man.

On a date in the early 90’s leaving the catfish parlour in Austin who are famous for their cigar shaped hush puppies, my date said those were the best hush puppies she’d ever had. I whipped one out of my shirt pocket and asked if she wanted another one.

Hell no. I don’t do sloppy seconds.

Early on in the relationship, definitely not
After you’ve been dating her for a while, then it depends on if we had other plans after dinner. I wouldn’t leave leftovers sitting in the truck for a few hours while we went other places after dinner. But if we were heading back home right after dinner, then sure.

I haven't dated anyone but my husband since the 90's, so absolutely. I can't eat more than half a restaurant sized meal (and usually not that much). If I want a salad, I'd stay at home and make one myself (it's what I have for lunch most days, anyway).
How big a baw are you to never have leftovers?

what are y'all ordering that leaves you with enough leftovers to warrant bringing them home?

Sometimes when I eat too many chips with guac I have to bring my quesadilla home
I reheat leftover home grilled steak in butter. So I suggested it for the guy who orders cowboy ribeyes also.

i would but honesty i never have left overs. i wouldnt mind if MY date did take home food though. in fact id be a little curious why they would rather throw food away.

I always get a go box to take leftovers home to the servants. You can't believe how happy they are to have restaurant food.

Our first date was at Digiulio’s. Ever see their portions?
Hell, most restaurant meals are huge. I never finish an entree.

pasta dishes are the only time it even kind of makes sense to me. i might not eat it all, but there won't be nearly enough for it to be worth taking home.

This question is just for the ladies, right?

You must eat a lot. Thats not a bad thing. I wish I did.
We have leftovers from 3 restaurants in the fridge now. They often go to waste :(
Hence the splitting plates thread. I split anytime someone is willing!
Restaurant portions are just too damn big.

Dating is meant to cull out unsuitable matches. A girl put off by me taking home leftovers is an unsuitable match. So yea, I would.
However I never have leftovers but that just means rather than be putoff by leftovers she’d have already watched me annihilate ungodly portions of food

Yes.
I can't imagine liking a woman that would be off-put by me not wanting to waste food.

No because I usually eat everything from both our plates to assert dominance early on.
Posted on 12/8/23 at 11:21 am to sidewalkside
No but don't over order
Posted on 12/8/23 at 11:45 am to sidewalkside
Yes, depending what is and how long it will be before getting home. I’m not wasting any of it, if possible, at the current cost to to go out.
