I’d hate it if Daniels went to the Saints. Don’t want to see that coaching staff ruin him.

I’ve been a diehard Saints fan from birth, and I swear I never wished this but, I wish my Saints don’t win another game so that we at least have a shot at drafting Jayden Daniels. WISHFUL THINKING.

i'm all for the Saints making good decisions and hope the NFL soon expands into Europe and the middle east.

Good thing he’s a passing qb that runs.

I’d say definitely for his passing

Not sure what you're asking; do you mean about "a bit shaky"?
If so, he had rough games against Arkansas and Auburn. Team wins, but he was sub-100 yds passing in both. Bama and A&M, under 200 yds passing. He did have some big games too, but he wasn't consistent like he was in 2023. So like I said, he showed promise and potential, and the following year he hit/exceeded that.

And let's be open about this- he moved into a Mike Denbrock offense, which isn't the same as Nix going to Oregon. Desmond Ridder only had 2 300 yd games in 2021 in his scheme, against South Fla and East Carolina.
There is nothing in Denbrock's history to suggest he could inflate a QB's numbers; this was all Daniels just emerging.

Completely outdated thinking.

They’ll probably draft a DL from a Division II school.

And trade up for him

I remember a many of us being upset at the idea that the Saints might draft Lamar Jackson. Outside of injuries Jackson has been really good. Maybe not this year, but better than many thought. I’d say we were wrong on that.

Hurts has been incredible and many laughed at the Eagles taking him in the 2nd.

I would be happy if the Saints had a Hurts or Jackson. I would gladly take Daniels.

Man that is so true.

I remember so many of us freaking out about the Saints possibly drafting Lamar Jackson and we took Marcus Davenport. I would say we were wrong. Give me Daniels.

I would rather swing for an elite QB and whiff than take another Davenport or sign another Carr. Just me though. I am sure there are examples of JJ Watt types as well.

I just wish the Saints never paid for Carr. Could have gone Mayfield cheap and then drafted a QB higher this past draft and or next year’s draft.

Yes

You have to take chances at the most important position in football

I’m done trading up. I’d like Nabors if he’s there. We stuck with Carr next year anyway. Nabors, Olave and shaheed woukd be a great set of receivers for the qb after Carr.

I have a feeling Penix may fall. Wouldn’t mind scooping him up in the 2nd if he makes it that far.

But he also plays center.

dream all you want but we are stuck with Carr a few more years and you can't waste half of contract on a first rounder sitting.

Dream would be for Bowers to slip down or one of the top 3 tackles. If not DT or CB will be the value.
