Do you even McMillions bro?

The funniest part about McDonald's Monopoly is there probably would have been less fraud if they never hired a security firm to handle the big prizes and instead opted for no security at all.

When do you think was the last time they did that promotion?
I loved it.
I loved it.

I always wondered how hard it was to find boardwalk.

A friends step dad worked for the company that printed the tickets on the side of the cups. We would get ziplock bags full of free “winners”. One year for spring break that’s how we survived. Every nickel went to booze and we had free McDonald’s for meals.

Yep. My 2 guilty eating pleasures are fresh peas and cornbread (which I can easily make myself) and McDonald's french fries.
It was like an addict getting a free score when my medium fries came with a "free fries" Monopoly piece on the back.

That's some shady statistics.
It's saying that you eat McDonald's only one time and you either get both or get 0.
In actuality you collect those stamps over a month or 2. If you eat McD's a few times over that period you're gonna easily get Boardwalk after 3 or 4 meals since there were multiple stickers per meal.
Still unachievable odds here but as a kid that game was fun and made you want to go back for more. Genious marketing strategy

Anybody remember the McDonald's 1984 Summer Olympics Promotion?
I was just a kid but remember winning a bunch of free food. Turns out they lost their arse on that one. The USA won a ton of medals because the Soviets and a bunch of other countries boycotted the games

I remember when McDonalds and Best Buy did a joint promotion on Monopoly. Not only could you win free food, but on the Supersize fries there was a coupon for Best Buy bucks to use at Best Buy. I think I racked up over 120 dollars in coupons and used it towards a flat tube widescreen TV. That was my first HD capable TV. It lacked an HDMI port but had component inputs and the tuner could tune HD over the air channels.
You would think with McDonald’s as a expensive as it is today, they could throw us a bone like that again.

That might be right if you were required to get them both in one meal, but that's not the game.

Was it only boardwalk that was rare? I can recall getting Park Place on two occasions.

My brother said he had the winning piece for a Sega Saturn but lost it. That was almost 30 years ago.

I remember Coke doing a bottle cap game in the early 80’s where they had a letter under the cap. You had to spell out something like
“The Real Thing” The E was the letter that was hard to find if I remember correctly. I had all but like two, as did everyone else. We would trade letters with friends that had one you didn’t and Vice Versa.
Anyone remember what I’m talking abou?
Pepsi had one as well. Maybe had to spell Challenge or New Generation, whatever.

While at LSU I remember winning a “free value meal of your choice” and using it to eat almost free for like a month. I’d just go and order the meal and then add on a small fry for like .69 and always had a dollar ready at the window for the fries and they never asked for the game piece. Good times.

Thanks. We were all very much concerned with your eating preferences.

Was that the one where you had to peel the little rubber thing off the inside of the metal bottle caps?
