LSU's defense isn't the same without Greg Brooks either. His absence might have been the difference in us winning or losing the Ole Miss and Bama games. We will never know.

The committee apologists were laying the groundwork for this as soon as Travis was injured.

That's why I always thought that they should have kept the BCS formula but used it to select the 4 team playoff. It would have used the best of bost systems.

Penalizing a team for an injury is disgusting.

Do you think FSU would beat Bama today if they played each other, even if they played in Tallahassee? I hate Bama, but I have to be fair and look for the 4 BEST teams right now
do you think Washington or Texas beats UGA? Why even play the games? If you want the 4 best teams it’s Alabama, UGA, Ohio State, Michigan.

Only one player difference, and they won two games without that player.

Their defense hasnt changed and is elite.

The 4 best teams, according to Vegas a week ago, are Georgia, Michigan, Bama and Ohio State. Georgia may well be favored against Bama in a theoretical rematch. So nah, it's not about the four "best" teams.

Not how I remember it. The BCS computers were not hated. People wanted a playoff system not a committee.

After 2003, when the computers and SOS component put LSU instead of USC in the Sugar Bowl, the SOS component was removed.

In 2011, the computers wanted Okie State. The formula had already been changed to prevent what the computers indicated should have happened.

The computers were included in the BCS rating to get the Big1T1en, Pac10, and Rose Bowl on board. Nobody every really wanted to follow them.

OBTW, the computers love Bama, and I suspect that the final four this year would be the same if the teams were picked using the BCS formula.

Some of these LSU "fans" are a fricking embarrassment. Bama didn't deserve to be in. You morons want to use a 3rd string QB as the excuse? They would have back their 2nd string for the playoffs and the FSU D is elite. Where's your "eye test" for Bama losing to AU if not for a miracle 4th and a mile?

It’s debatable if bama would be favored over OSU or GA again on a neutral field.

The NFL doesn't use a playoff committee

You right. They just let the shite play out on the field as it should. That's why the 12 team playoff will do just that to end some of this bullshite going on.

Leaving Georgia out undermines this line of thinking.

It's completely rational logic.

If you don't believe this, then ask yourself one question: would Mike norvell want Jordan Travis back right now? The obvious answer is yes. Why? Because Florida State is not the same team without him

Oklahoma - Big 12 Champion
Ohio State - Big 10 Champion
LSU - SEC Champion
Clemson - ACC Champion

Alabama - not a conference champion

Simple!

They wouldn’t beat LSU, UGA, OSU, etc but that doesn’t matter. If they go in & lose 1st round do they so “ooopsie, our bad”

So you agree that if Milroe goes down with an injury before the playoffs that bama should forfeit?
