deion sanders (I'm not calling a 50 year old man prime) was hired off of name and recruiting alone.

You still, even now, have no idea if he can coach.

He could very well fail miserably

If he wants to coach he should go Analyst first. The reason you don’t see many superstars as coaches (think about how many there are) is they struggle to teach less talented people.

It is a basic management concept that any undergrad with a business degree is taught. The high performer just “gets it” and had the talent to “do it” — they get frustrated by players who can’t just “do it.”
Frustrated teachers have frustrated players.

Would HB be a great addition to staff? Hell yes. Should he start as a position coach? Over current yes, but that isn’t a high benchmark

Pretty sure he was coaching his son’s high school team. At least I thought I saw that somewhere. I get it’s not college experience but was part of a coaching staff.

Old thinker left off Greg Jackson’s current gig. Nickel back coach at Wisconsin. You missed my earlier post equating a nickel back coach in the Big 10 to being the assistant passing game coordinator at Army.

Yes, LSU should absolutely hire a DB that has never coached a down in his life at any level.

I've many times expressed a desire to Mrs. Semjase to have a Menage a Trois with Kate Beckingsale.....

Whatever "experience" he had sure as hell never translated into teaching and coaching our players on the field. DBU is DOA right now.

Tyran Mathieu Resume

* probably a good recruiter
* expressed desire to coach someday
* Takes what he wants

Looks like he checks all the boxes!
