I have a feeling Acadiana wins this week.

Defense definitely looked legit against Holy Cross. Karr is tough though. A lot of good athletes to stretch that defense. Gonna be a good one for sure

Realistically, how much of a chance does Dutchtown have at Zachary?

There’s always a chance but I see Zachary winning by double digits. Just a better team. Supposed to be some rain Friday night so that might change things.

Districts are there because we can’t all win state… that’s more kids who can celebrate something and have a realistic goal to play for

Sorry not subject related but I remember going to a basketball game in Plaisance in around 75-76. It was a 4 row gym and they squeezed people in that place and it was crazy. Plaisance had a guy that could shoot the lights out. It was one of the best times I had watching basketball

Neat gym

Dutchtown with the upset over Zachary and will be the first AP public school to play in the dome.

That Airline fan in the QF thread will downvote this and blame the refs still..

I hadn't talked to anyone about the game or know any of the ref complaints, but based on the final touchdown alone it seems like a brutal loss for Airline. 2:00 mark DB bobbles an interception that goes in the hands of a Mandeville player for a TD. Ouch. AHS had a fumble at the 1 yard line too. Tough loss.

yeah completely getting away from districts may create a scheduling nightmare too.

Good catch. That year St Amant had a little sophomore QB named Larry Stewart that was fantastic.

How they gonna cover TreyDez Green?

Not about the matchups this time of year, it’s about the matchup problems

I did not know this. That’s pretty cool. Do teams still play regular season games in the dome? I remember several years ago they would have regular season games there.

Great question. He’s definitely the guy they’re gonna have to focus a lot on. But then with Zachary, can’t just focus on one guy, cause they have guys all over the field. Definitely a matchup problem for Dutchtown. I think this Dutchtown defense is really good though, and I just think they’ll rise to the occasion. With that being said, Zachary will probably blow them out lol.

This would be fun to watch for the contrast in offensive systems.

Some BIG kids on both teams. St. James has to survive the trip to Sterlington though.

OCS vs. Southern Lab is an incredible matchup. State title game a week early.
