OCS vs. Southern Lab is an incredible matchup. State title game a week early.

Both Teams with monster defenses. This is not going to look like a Division 4 game. Multiple P5 players on both squads

I did not know this. That’s pretty cool. Do teams still play regular season games in the dome? I remember several years ago they would have regular season games there. . No costs went way way up

But yet there’s games in Texas at Jerry World and NRG Stadium…

How did Teurlings beat LCA in their previous matchup this year?

They didn’t, that was last year. LCA beat them bad this year, running time in the first half. LCA turned it over 5 times I think last year when TC won.

It’s been a while. Think it stopped around the time Tulane moved to Yulman

They should have an opening weekend slate at Yulman or the Superdome. Have some of the top teams in the state play games down there on Friday and Saturday.

they used to have such an event… remember the John Curtis-Plant game?

To be fair, they probably quit having it because we didn’t want to support it.

“We” as in the NOLA neutral public who wouldn’t have a team playing there, not specifically Chalmette. We’re just too competitive and petty to support a “national” high school team that would use events like that to recruit everyone’s best players. Look how polarizing those teams like Curtis, LCA, etc are

It’s better anyway if playing in the Dome is only something you can earn.

yes I believe that was the last one in 2012 maybe 2013. Had dropped off after Katrina. Started as the "hap glaudi classic"
