They certainly did. Was the only loss on the football field all season. Wasn’t even particularly close. Which goes to show you that Acadiana is just a different animal come playoff time. They either go on to win it all or have a game where they fumble 5 times and lose by 7.

Y'all only fumbled twice against us two years ago and lost by 7. To be fair, one of those fumbles did result in a scoop-and-score for us.

I was referencing the 2009 Catholic game where we were up 28-0 and had 5 second half fumbles and lost 35-28. But most of the times against good teams like Zachary and 2021 Ponchatoula it only takes 2-3 to turn it. Fumbles hurt Acadiana way more because of the offense they run. Timing has to be on our they’re absolutely toast.

I think it would help. Acadiana's split-back veer is IMO the most physical offense in Louisiana prep football.
