B+ as of now after inheriting a complete overhaul and mess from Ed he was a victim of his own success in winning west first year. This year the D was horrendous and likely needs to fire House, however the offense was historically great perhaps better than 2019. He deserves credit for both.
We are heading in the right direction but if key moves aren’t made in portal , recruiting and coaching this offseason we could be heading for a down year and not on right trajectory. As of today I would give him a B+.

B-. He had to rebuild the roster. But there are so many scheme/coaching issues . It’s been a fun two years though if you just view it as a random snapshot .

B+

Polian, ATM game last year, Ole Miss this year, thin corps on defense, overall defensive line play, mediocre starts to the season, are detractors

Offensive Line build up, overall team build up, a steadying the ship process , recovery from 39 players left fiasco, got rid of some of the headache players, Daniels development are headlines.

You thought Ed was a good coach and wanted to bench Daniels for Nussmeier. With all due respect your opinion is worth less than dogshit.

we are looking at two straight 10 win seasons.

I got faith in my Tigers too.. but I hope the players aren’t talking like they already have 10 wins too, because that’s the mindset that breeds defeat. There are quite a number of teams LSU could be matched up against in the upcoming bowl game, and I’d bet a lot of them want that 10th win just as bad. It ain’t no rent-a-win.
That mindset is how Auburn got beat by New Mexico State.

I ain’t trying to pick at your words, but BK ain’t got two 10 win seasons QUITE yet.

C+ top tier talent was wasted this year because of a hiring decision BK made and poor defensive decisions and coaching schemes used.

A-

Would to like see better performance on the field in a few areas, recruiting is a slight concern and biggest concern is some of his assistant hires.

That said, the level of professionalism and gravitas he has brought to LSU compared to the last two dopes is night and day. He ain’t Saban, because he is the closest thing to him in college football.

This level of seriousness about our program will pay off big time over the next few years.

LSU fans recently turned on a coach who was winning 9 or more. The standard should be 10 yearly with a great bowl bid and challenging for the SEC title.

I agree, but not in the first couple seasons after the incredible shite-show of a roster he inherited. LSU was a legit rebuild when BK was hired. He wasn't Kirby following Richt or Orgeron following Miles. 2-3 seasons to build a consistent winner is reasonable (similar to Matt Rhule at Temple and Baylor). After next season, 10 regular season wins should be the expectation.

I agree with a B+

But beating Ole Miss wouldn’t push an A in my book.

To get an A he would have had to do 1 of 2 things.

1.) had LSU ready to play a second half against FSU. Instead they came out of half like they already had the game won.

2.) interjected during the Alabama game and FORCED Matt House to put Perkins on Milroe as a spy after half time, for the rest if the game. Why this wasn’t part of the game plan to begin the game, I’ll never know. Auburn kept Miliroe’s legs relatively quiet last night with a spy and had the game won with 40 seconds left. Perkins at spy is how LSU beat Arkansas LAST year, so we know he’s effective as a spy.

These two things would have brought him “from good, to great” in my book.

With that said, future is LSU football is bright with BK as the coach…
And BYE BYE MATT HOUSE!!!!

While I've had frustration with some things this season, the perception of BK's resume since coming to LSU compared to other coaches is frickING WILD.

Freeze, Napier, Riley, Norvell, Freeman, Cristobal etc.

Literally none of these people are on par with what Kelly has done in his first two years compared to theirs.

He's potentially going to have back to back 10 win seasons coming out of the best division in college football and people want to talk like he's failing. It's actually crazy and clearly is skewed because some don't like him personally.

Take any other coach at any other program and having this start would be seen as incredibly positive.

But somehow BK is talked about like the guy is borderline on the hot seat.

So fricking stupid.

Finally a rational astute observation. 70% of this board doesn't have a clue about football and how good BK is. All they ever know is FIRE FIRE FIRE. Like vultures they are now circling House like they circled Ensminger when he was at LSU. Ensminger made fools of em and I believe House will to. If BK runs him off then I will agree with the vultures.

That 70% doesn't deserve a coach like BK.
