Team Rankings SoS

Despite that, he leads the country in total yards by more than 800 yards, and nearly a thousand more than both Penix and Nix.

He also leads FBS in total touchdowns, yards per carry and currently holds the highest passer rating in FBS history (FBS record for season pass efficiency: 207.6. Jayden Daniels thru 11 games: 208.34)

He leads #LSU’s offense which is #1 in the FBS for scoring and total offense

Think Jayden Daniels is padding stats with short cheap plays? Think again. He has more 20+ yard plays than any TEAM in the country - by himself.

Think that’s padded by the weak teams LSU has played? LSU has 70 plays of 20+ yards against P5 teams. The next closest? USC at 59.

Against the four top-12 teams he’s played on the road he accounted for:

79-118, 1,238 yards, 10 TDs, 2 INTs
56 carries, 456 yards, 3 TDs.

That’s 1,694 yards and 13 TDs in four games. 423.5 YPG - which is actually higher than his 417 YPG that is 24% higher than the next best player (Drake Maye 336 YPG).

Oh and he’s led his team to touchdowns on each of his last 13 drives.

So what’s your reasoning for saying Jayden Daniels would hold a clipboard again? Because all of that is my reason for saying your unqualified to be a #Heisman voter.

Kind of pathetic even putting that much effort to a reply

kind of pathetic you'd devote 1/4 of your posts on such a pernicious gripe

And he missed 11 minutes of the Bama game because of the SEC’s longstanding bias that allows Bama players to get away with anything.

Playing a five win Florida team is tough?

7 of their 8 wins are against teams with 6 wins or less.
The teams that LSU lost to all have 9 wins or more. (The reason why the SOS is high)

Stop using strength of schedule as a factor in Jayden Daniel's Heisman talking points.

Give it to him now. I understand they want intrigue and drama so people tune into the ceremony, but this race was over last week.

Look at JD’s stats in the games LSU lost. The losses had nothing to do with him. It’s a team game. The Heisman is an INDIVIDUAL award.

No shite, but saying LSU has played the toughest schedule is a bad checkpoint when it comes to Daniels.

All their toughest games, they lost. That is a factor to a majority of voters. Beating a Florida team that won't make a bowl is not a good marker.

Talking about the yards he put up in an individual game is a good checkpoint, comparing stats, good checkpoint. Saying they played a tough schedule when they lost their toughest games. Bad checkpoint

Milroe should be in New York then by this logic.

You’re either missing the point or being obtuse. The reason to point out he played a tough schedule is to highlight that he has not accumulated his statistics against exclusively weak competition. Whether or not LSU won those games is of little relevance. The fact remains that JD’s statistics were, in part, accumulated against those quality defenses.

He played Grambling, Army, Georgia State, Florida, Mississippi State, Arkansas and Auburn. Only two of those teams is likely going to a bowl game. Find me the tough competition

Tzimme, let's do a blind compare of stats between JD5 and Milroe, shall we?

This logic is the reason Milroe won’t be in New York.

I noticed you conveniently left a few teams on our schedule off your list (most of them are currently in the top 10). Oh, and JD had good numbers against all of them.

They as in LSU lost, yes. But Daniels put up either above average or incredible stats against the toughest completion.

The losses weren’t because of Daniels, and it’s still important to point out he put up amazing stats against good competition and incredible stats against average to bad.

Putting Pennix and Nix’s stats against their toughest games really tells this story even more. They individually performed average to below average, but their team won anyway.
