They can sit that tiny washing machine on top of the counter. Problem solved.

Move the cabinets above the counter and get a stackable. Everything will work fine.

Architects do not design $400,000 homes.

Damn laundry room is useless. I looked at a house in Spring and the laundry room was only big enough for a clothes basket and washer and dryer. We passed on it but it sold in 2 days.
one the things I'm most excited about with the house we're buying is our laundry room is microscopic and the new one is roomy enough for a dog wash, pull down ironing board, fridge, folding counter and utility sink.

Hell yeah it's ok to get excited about a laundry room.

If you’re a woman it’s ok I guess.

call me a woman then because I'm OCD about ironing my dress shirts and now that we have a place for the dog beds they can live in their new fortress plus it's got a water line so I can put in a second fridge with an ice maker.

Call me Betty but I'm fired up about it.

For the life of me I can't imagine ANY McDonalds being that busy that they need 5 urinals in a men's room.

You're supposed to use a tower washer/dryer in there.

We built a new house during covid. We didn't make this mistake, but we did build a big house with lots of space without fully thinking what furniture we might have in spots and we could have saved ourselves a few headaches.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the washer and dryer hookups are reversed. The dryer should be on the right. With the dryer on the left you have to go around the open door of the dryer with the wet clothes because the hinges on a dryer are on the right.

Most dryer doors are reversible. I would be a lot easier than tearing out the drywall to do electrical and plumbing work

That is funny, I never noticed that and you are right my dryer door is reversible just like single-door fridges generally are. It is still standard to put the washing machine hookup on the left, though without being able to see what is behind the drywall there may have been a legitimate reason for doing it backward.
