what others are you talking about?

we are talking abotu glp-1 class

i mean if you want to talk beta 2 antgonist like ephedra and clen we can but that is pointless to this thread

if you wanna talk uncouplers like dnp...we can do that too

but none of that has shite to do with the glp class of drugs we are discussing

DNP raises your body temperature and causes you to lose weight via thermogenesis. It's literally a "fatburner" but it has horrific side effects because it's so strong. It's not even approved for human consumption because its a fricking chemical that's used for pesticides.

Same with clenbeuterol.

Eating is very much an addiction and much like former heroin addicts, I still think about unhealthy food everyday with the difference being I still have to consume food. Food that I don't really want to eat.(I understand heroin is a much worse addiction than food) That's all to say it's hard and I've been strong enough to lose weight, but not strong enough to keep it off.

now i am very glad you have something that can help you that has very very minimal side effects and i support you using it...

but dont start spouting bullshite trying to get people to feel sorry for yourself. its one thing to be 30,40 even 50 lbs overweight....you are well over a 100 over.

now this medicine will be a god send for you. if you are smart you will start prioritizing protein, learning to like protein, eating clean, start lifting weights progressively 3x per week, start getting 10-12k steps in and stay on the lowest dose for as long as possible.

I don’t workout with the goal of becoming Mr. Olympia. I’m 56 years old and have type 2 diabetes. I am obese and I have had difficulty with high A1C .

With Ozempic, I have changed the foods that I consume. It seems to me, and I may be wrong, but it seems like the folks that workout two hours a day at anytime Fitness doesn’t want obese people to lose fat unless they are busting their arse by working out 2 hours per day. Each person’s metabolism is different. Some people are addicted to sugars and junk food. It all begins in the brain.

If Robert Sapolsky is correct and we have no free will then we all can’t be body builders.

lol i know what dnp does, its a uncoupling agent...i promise you arent going to tell me anything i dont already know

and that was my point, you mentioned stimulants for weightloss....there have been very few and most only had sides once abused.

clen isnt a uncoupling agent, its a beta 2 that raises metabolism roughly 9-10%.

god damn it, yall are making it really hard to support yall

i mean frick!!!

you only need to workout about 3-4x per week lifting progressively for an hour to build muscle and look damn good

the rest is about steps and not eating like shite

and no people are not addicted in a physical sense to sugars or junk food. it does begin in the brain, but its not addiction. they like the dopamine release food gives them but can easily be broken or this medicine wouldnt work

ftr too for all yall that will jump on this...

you better learn to eat right or the medicine will punish you like a MFer. you gonna be shitting through a screen door if you try and gorge on the same foods you always eat.

This thread is making my mouth water. Is this normal? When i go to a store, seeing food also makes my mouth water, and I cant wait to get that full feeling or rotate salty then sweet and back again. Its fricking sick. I know it. I know im not like other people. No, I dont weigh a million pounds, but I bet im borderline "obese" according to height/weight charts.

I have a feeling folks that say to use will power dont understand that food does different things to different people, same and alcohol, etc. I have no fricking clue why. I am one of those people that tell you, "I can always eat." Its because I can. Pizza eating contest? bring it. We had one once on the way back from a baseball game in high school. whole team of about 25 were in on it. Dudes twice my size were yacking out the bus window on the way home. Me? I ate 3 more pieces than anyone else. I was fine.

I quit smoking years ago after getting over 2 packs a day. Used patches for 4 days, then done.

I can quit alcohol whenever. Take it or leave it. All good. Tried my fair share of other substances. Had friends get hooked on different substances. Me, im good. feels great but i dont care that ill likely never do whatever again because im a grown up now.

Food? Bruh, im fricked. I wake up and think about what Im going to eat that day. I look at a clock and think how soon I get to eat.

Part of how to quit alcohol for an alcoholic or a drug addict is AA and not using again. Like someone said above, with food, it sucks because its not like you can quit forever. If this crap can help me be like other folks must be when it comes to food, you damn right Im going to try it.

I do and I explained that it's overwhelming which makes the decisions to do better difficult. Not impossible. Difficult. I've lost 40lbs before but the old habits came back because those cravings are always there. It gets easier to ignore but that one step put me right back to where I was before.

You don't understand metaphor. I made sure to clarify that I don't think they are on the same level. Just drawing parallels. Food contains chemicals that correspond to receptors, similar but NOT the same as heroin addiction. Stress triggers the want for these chemicals. I'm not a doctor but that's pretty simple to follow.

ut dont start spouting bull shite trying to get people to feel sorry for yourself. its one thing to be 30,40 even 50 lbs overweight....you are well over a 100 over.

Not trying "to get people to feel sorry for yourself". Just trying to explain that it's not as easy as people who have never been in this situation seem to think it is.

I think you're right. For me, portion size is a big issue. If this curves my cravings and appetite, I want to give it a shot.

Average weight of study group was 231 lbs. Average weight loss was 48 lbs over 72 weeks. 231 - 48 = 183 lbs final weight. That seems impressive.

Once a week at $1030 per month will cost you over $17,000, or $ 357 per lost lb.

People should be careful of what they are putting in their bodies with these miracle drugs.

I know someone who got on this drug and lost weight but it has caused everything else about her health to go all out of control. The prescribing doctor has taken her off and still can’t normalize things.

Let’s balance this out a little bit instead of the normal OT doom and gloom.

I was on this drug for about 9 months. Lost 50lbs and my insurance stopped covering it because after my last blood work come in, everything was on the money.

I’m actually going to look into getting this Zepbound. Worked absolutely great for me.

Just wanted to make sure we’re not throwing a wet blanket over everything like the OT tends to do. Everyone’s body is different.

I'm sure we could find a few of the BAWS that are here putting down on people for wanting to better themselves over in the peptide, TRT and bourbon threads espousing how wonderful those things are.

Wanted to add what it does to me. I went from 230 to 176 at my lightest. Stopped taking it 4 months ago and i have gained a little weight back. Up to 188 yesterday. Admittedly, my eating habits have taken a bit because of my schedule.

It does what is says and blocks the sensors in your brain telling you that you are hungry. The portions I would eat would become very small. When I did eat those tiny portions, I would feel like I ate an entire thanksgiving dinner and wouldn’t be hungry again for 12-16 hours. I would drink a lot of water and/or tea. I would lose weight more due to the fasting, IMO. I also continue taking vitamins and other things for my body daily. Again, I’m no longer on this drug due to my blood work coming back normal again. I was considered pre-diabetic is how i ended up on it in the first place. So my insurance paid its share.

Looking forward to being able to get back into it.

DNP has nothing to do with appetite suppression - it affects the metabolism of glucose at the cellular (mitochondrial) level.

Like others though, I'm worried about side effects. I'll keep trying the old fashioned way for a while.
