He's not a defense tackle at the D1 level at all. Should return to Nichols or Southeastern.

It almost appears Perkins was being held by the guy that took him to the ground; however, the official wasn't watching any way as they seldom do to the egregious plays Bama does...

I said that when I watched it live ha. Maybe once you leave your feet that can block in the back?

Keep an eye on Perkins getting bodied 10 yards downfield too. And our fans want him to blitz more.

They wanted him to spy Milroe too lol. Apparently nobody remembers what happened the last time we tried to spy Perkins this season.

Meh

That’s more bad technique than getting thrown around. Smith is completely off balance.

Our defensive ends look like they stand up and engage the blocks rather than attacking the tackles and trying to get up field or off the blocks. I wonder if this is some sort of technique that is taught. It seems counterproductive and possibly why we get run on with teams with decent Olines.

Perkins was engaged with a d-linemen, no way he's not giving up around 100 lbs and YES, he got blocked. Again, I think Smith is just going through the motions in an effort to avoid re-injuring himself. I have no idea why the coaching staff doesn't see this. Oghoufo couldn't get off his block and that's the real problem in the video.

I mentioned his softness in the game thread. I felt like I was the only one seeing how he prefers ankle and trip tackling to any physical tackling. He's way too small to be an effective gap filling linebacker in the SEC.

Bad technique is what got him injured last year too. I know they happen, but good technique goes farther than just when you are engaged. Learn to move properly, prevent injuries.

Where is O's last two classes? It's funny that you don't hold him accountable for leaving the program, with literally zero 1st rd draftable talent and only 1 2nd rounder. Your God emperor's last 2 classes should be starters right now.

I was just about to post the same message. Not sure what technique he was supposed to use when he jumped in the air to celebrate a teammates tackle.

Either world class troll or you didn’t actually watch the game.
