The roads in Tuscaloosa are a mess, prepare for some traffic

Wear striped shirts.
You 'll be treated royally.

Great point. Especially if you’re coming from Baton Rouge where the roads aren’t a mess and there’s rarely any traffic.

Have been several times. Don't think I've had any real problems. Like a lot of SEC schools, the Alabama fans that actually show up on campus are generally good fans.
That being said, I am undefeated in Tuscaloosa (2005, 2007, 2011, and 2019), so maybe that impacts my outlook.
Yes, I will be there in two weeks.

Where are you staying? If you’re coming from the west it’s pretty easy.
Be more specific about what you want to know.

Good bar to watch football before the game?

Google Tuscaloosa football shuttle.

Not sure about Uber as I have never done that. But the crowd and traffic is such that I imagine it would be hard around the stadium. But it’s really not a long walk to downtown Tuscaloosa. Could prolly snag one there. Also lots of free parking there. Some of the hotels have shuttles.
As for bars, can’t give you a go to but there are lots of places along the strip from downtown to the campus. Find one you like.

Save some money and stay in Meridian, Mississippi. Parking on campus is pretty easy. They offer shuttles from the outer campus lots. Overall a really fun trip.
Was there in 2017 when we lost and there in 2019 when we won. The fans are not a problem at all as long as you're not an a hole.

Any of the bars on the strip right next to the stadium.

I stay somewhere nice in Birmingham, then drive into Tuscaloosa the day of the game and jump on one of the chartered buses going from McFarland Mall to the stadium. This is a pro tip.

Going for the first time with a couple of friends. No set plans - just going to take in all we can. Great day for other games so we’ll find a place to relax and watch before the BDS beatdown starts.

The hotels (like all college towns) jack the prices way up so don't stay in Tuscaloosa. Bars- Gallette's and Houndstooth are very well known. Restaurants - Chuck's Fish is good but nothing you can't get in La. Bear Bryant Museum - pretty cool college football history. Worth the visit.

We are setting up a tailgate at Central HS south of the stadium.
