New Law in California Basically Legalizes Soliciting for Prostitution
Wow. California just keeps finding ways to make me never want to visit again....
It's really a shame because there are some really beautiful places and the weather can't be beat.

Prostitution in San Diego has exploded since a controversial California law went into effect this year. As a result, businesses have taken on additional security costs and have warned customers they will likely see near-naked women and pimps if they visit the area.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill 357 in July 2022, which repealed a previous law that banned loitering with the intent to engage in prostitution. The bill was championed as one that would help protect transgender women from being targeted by police.

I don't even personally have a problem with sex workers or prostitution. I say make it legal and regulate it so soliciting in the streets is illegal. Have certain designated places (brothels) where it's legal and arrest the street walkers so we and our kids don't have to see their nasty asses...

If that’s the case, why don’t they set up brothels?

Because it's currently illegal....Not sure if you read my post carefully...

If I were made king, this is what I would do. Every city would have what I would call a "Vegas" section. Sex, drugs, prostitution, all available and monitored. Sluts would not be selling themselves in the streets.
One block away from Vegas would be rehab centers and police stations. LOL

Why does everyone have such an issue with 2 consenting adults having relations?
If someone doesn’t want to pay for it, then don’t buy no matter what anyone tries to explain, all guys pay for sex one way or the other

One thing I've found through my world travels is that countries can go two routes, legalization of guns, or legalization of whores, these two things are mutually exclusive. California for example would love to ban guns and make whores legal.

I honestly don't get this. What does this have to do with being transgender or not? I'm assuming most of these prostitutes are actual women and not trans. I'm just not following Newsom's logic here...

Because maybe there more to it than that. When we start allowing this crap in our society it leads to other problems. The truth is that it's not just two consenting adults being affected. There's a lot of other issues that are associated with prostitution like drug abuse, disease, moral decay. Everyone said just legalize drugs and drug addiction will go away. Look how that's worked out for Portland and places like that. The truth is, it would be fine if, like you said, two consenting adults were the only ones being affected but it's not the case. For every prostitute there is out there there's probably at least one little kid sitting at home hungry wondering where his mother is.

You can't go sell food on the street without a license or vendor certificate, but you can sell nasty snatch.
It's the irony of rules and the ability to turn an eye for a deprived reason.

Isn’t it funny how literally every issue Democrats champion all serve to further deteriorate society? It’s almost as though they want society to collapse and are actively working to make it happen as soon as possible.
