no... she did.
but i had locked her out of the house while she was back feeding the chickens and sat there watching her cuss me out while drinking a coke and laughing at her. she went and got a small one. then a big one. then a full on branch.

then i opened the door and got drug out and beat in broad daylight.

I have not problem with spanking a kids arse but, that dad seems angry and you never spank your kid while you're angry.

Shame on your grandmother. That's not a reason to spank a kid, let alone a serious arse beating. You were a child and you didn't know what the word meant.
Your grandmother's first reaction should have been to ask what you thought the word meant, and to ask where you heard it.
