Sideline or booth. The question lingers for 40 years. The sideline is potentially a better view for the line play. But really only one side. It is definitely worse for viewing DB action. A coach will literally have to take the players word for what is happening. Being in the booth obviously separates the coach from the players. Communication is the key. And having someone the DC trusts to handle the players. It’s definitely NOT clear cut which is better.

These "demands" on the coaches and/or players from people who obviously have never played any significant football are hilarious.
"Have never played any football at any Level" would be a more accurate statement.......

This is all scheme and technic, if you have a defensive coordinator who’s defense was barely ranked in the 100’’s at two schools and who’s mentor was a nfl coach that allowed 7000 yards the most in nfl history with the saints, also who can’t call a play on defense and then bk hires two db coaches who can’t coach technic, well this poor defense is the exact defense that you will get.

I would love a defensive coordinator to coach from the sideline. That sucks did not think about that with him.
I don’t think now is the time to try it on for size though.

Bottom line is we are a terrible tackling and undisciplined Defense.

That all on coaching during the week of practice.

Since up to this point it appeared the coaching staff was just throwing a bunch of changes(ie shite) agst the wall to see what stuck in hopes of the defense improving, I thought the same thing about House moving to the sidelines a couple of weeks ago. Convey guidance, direction and scheme feedback, motivating right from the head man to the players as a group directly. You can mitigate the lose of a better vantage point fairly easily. Clearly other DCs or OCs across the country that work from the sidelines can/are doing it successfully. Hell, it can’t make the D play anymore poorly…

Everyone could see the D-Line was too far off the ball. Even drunk arse Tee-Bob could see it after 9 shots of whiskey. How he couldn’t see it from up there is beyond me.

I don’t know. Why can’t the NFL teams see it?

House won’t do that, he knows LSU fans will target him.

Wtf does this even mean? Do you think LSU fans are going to bring rocks to throw at him on the sidelines or something?
