You could sell that to any movie studio doing 80s throwback movies

If you are near Atlanta, you could contact some of the companies that supply backgrounds for TV and movies because they sometimes can use a TV (especially one that's working) to establish that the movie isn't present day.

Anyone here remember Zammit radio and TV repair shop from back in the day? It was on Plank Rd or Scenic Hwy in Baton Rouge.

Well if anyone wants it it's on St. Dorothy between Hollywood and St Katherine

Lady said that whoever wants it can take it. I ended up not being able to find the time

We had a similar model in our wood-panel-walled den, with wooden end tables, a fabric sofa bed, a reddish brown carpet, a dark brown lazy boy, and three wooden bookshelves (one of which had a bar built in). My dad still has the bookshelves. That was such a relaxing room to take a nap in when you stayed home from school sick as a dog.

A family member of mine gave my dad an old console TV back in the day. I was just coming of age where I was begging for a TV of my own for my bedroom. That SOB had to weigh 700lbs and trying to move that big bastard upstairs to my bedroom is something I'll never forget.

The best thing as a kid with those old school televisions was being able to sit on the floor and watch the Saturday morning cartoons, eating toast and cereal on those metal trays with the legs that folded out. Then you could throw down a pillow and blanket and lay down to watch whatever. Can’t do that today when people mount their tv’s seven feet up on a wall.

Everyone’s mom: “Don’t sit so close to the tv! You’ll ruin your eyes!”

I still can't believe we all watched a TV screen 6 inches off the floor. If your dog or cat walked in front of it on 3rd and 1, you couldn't see shite.

Isn't there some kind of Digital Converter that can be utilized to make this TV set work?

Has to be. I remember when digital first came out they sent out all the digital to analog converters so people with antennas and analog TV could catch the new digital signals.

I wouldn’t mind gutting the CRT in that and replacing with a modern 4k flatscreen, just for the retro look.
