Yes you are.

McCarthy worked with dems to give dems what they want as the gop majority leader.

Meanwhile, tue gop got squat.

And, he did it behind closed doors.

Yes. He’s not working with the Dems. In fact, he’s expecting the Dems to bail McCarthy out.

How in the world are you still this ignorant of what’s going on.

Why would any dem not take the opportunity to help a Republican controlled house fire their speaker?
Gaetz is taking this as a given.

Y'all are looking at this through the prism of Democrat versus Republican.

Gaetz just wants narrowly scoped appropriations bills with the ability to amend, debate and vote...you know legislate. Something congress has not done since the mid '90s.

McCarthy wants single vote continuing resolutions, aka omnibus bills. McCarthy and the rest of the Uniparty want to be able to say, sorry about that Ukraine spending but I had to vote yes on the bill to give our district the bridge to no-where that everyone wanted.

Again, Gaetz just want's narrowly scoped appropriations to give him and his congressional colleagues the opportunity to vote on Ukraine spending and the bridge to no-where separately for example.

The Uniparty wants all or nothing.

McCarthy has not held up to his end of the deal he made to become speaker

He also did side deals with Dems about Ukraine funding

He needs to go

Yes, context.

One of the big reasons Gaetz went after McCarthy in the first place was that he was going to allow Ukraine funding in the intended spending bill, this is in complete contradiction to his promise of NOT doing it (among other things) if Gaetz would relent and support him for speakership.

McCarthy backed down on the Ukraine spending this time around but only because he had made a deal with Democrats that if they passed this spending bill then he would include Ukraine funding in the next round of spending (which starts now).

That's a whole different thing from Gaetz wanting to use the Democrats to help oust McCarthy. What Gaetz is doing is attempting to play on Democrats' desires for discord within the GOP to get McCarthy out and install himself (or someone else who will keep their word) as Speaker versus McCarthy's using Dems to indulge in the normal sort of backsliding on responsibility we see from DC politicians.

To try implying those two instances are the same is like saying someone who pushes down an old lady as he steals her purse is no different than someone who pushes down an old lady to get her out of the way of a speeding bus because both engage in pushing down old ladies.

The same thing happened in Texas. The drunk Speaker of the House (Dade Phelan) got elected to that position with the help of Democrats. Whereupon he responded by refusing to allow conservative legislation (i.e.school choice) for debate on the floor. Payback to the corrupt democrats. But he did allow impeachment of Ken Paxton to move to the floor. Crooked is as crooked does.

Based on Kevin McCarthy's refusal to make good on his promises I suspect he's cutting deals with the democrats right now. I watched John Boehner get corrupted just like that....cutting deals with the democrat to stay in the speakership.

Now we learn Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell received donations from a fraudster (Sam Bankman-Fried) so the 'Turtle' could direct funds to anti-Trump Republicans. What a fricking mess. These crooks would make a pact with the devil if it suited their purpose.

UniParty stuff.

Yes … you are missing the fact the democrats are going to vote no on any Republican speaker. Unless mccarthy makes another deal with them

Gaetz was too shady to be a used car salesman, so he became a politician.

You are missing something alright...a focking brain man.

When this country goes bankrupt trying to support a Ukraine war and rebuilding efforts and another 10 million illegals from 156 countries carrying diseases never diagnosed in America you are going to be also missing your MONEY devaluated to nothing.

And the globalists say you won't complain !

He should have never been elected as the speaker. If it took him needing 15 votes to secure his leadership it’s evident he was not wanted. He kept making deals for votes. I would be willing to bet he has not fulfilled all the promises he agreed to. He said during all those votes that it was his turn to be speaker. That doesn’t sound like he has the best interest of the country. It’s all about the power that comes with the speakership.
