Naka-bomb: Arrest warrants issued for four Baton Rouge Police Officers

BATON ROUGE- Multiple sources have confirmed to the WBRZ Investigative Unit that a judge in the 19th Judicial District Court signed four arrest warrants for Baton Rouge Police Officers who were once part of the now defunct Street Crimes Unit. The warrants were signed due to allegations of corruption from three years ago.
WBRZ has the names of the officers and their charges but has made an editorial decision not to identify them at this time as the investigation continues. Sources said they are still waiting to get statements from the officers. One of the warrants is for a high-ranking officer in the department. Sources said three years ago, an individual was beaten, and body camera video worn by at least one officer on the scene vanished.
The charges range from malfeasance in office to battery. Our sources said the incident that led to the arrest warrants being drafted is not related to the Brave Cave—a torture warehouse that came to light a month ago when lawyer Ryan Thompson filed a lawsuit alleging his client's civil rights were violated.

How does Murphy Paul still have a job?

Can’t imagine the target on a police officer’s back when he goes to jail. That target area might be on his lower backside.

I wonder if any of the other news folks want their watchers/readers to have all of the information aboot this story?
Did WBRZ just publish what Sharon Hyphen Broome's office gave them permission to? Are they still her lapdogs?

Are the names public record in the arrest warrants? If so, shame on WBRZ as they would not extend this courtesy to you or I.
If they are not public record in the arrest warrant (yet), then I have no issues.

If the PD asked WBRZ to hold off on naming the officers until they are in custody then I am OK with that temporarily but just say so.
It's obvious that someone at the Clerk's Office or at the 19th JDC picked up the phone and leaked this prior to the information being formally released. I can stand to wait a couple of hours for information if it assists in the effective administration of justice.

Is MP or Daniels the high ranking officer ? Is that why he went off the rails last night ?

Yes, unless ruled otherwise by a judge, all warrants are public record.

If it was MP they couldn't hide his name. Daniels also hasn't been linked to the BRAVE Cave drama.
The timing of these warrants and Troy Lawrence Sr being suspended yesterday is interesting.

A Baton Rouge police deputy chief, Troy Lawrence Sr., has been placed on administrative leave after his son, an officer in the same department, was arrested for allegedly tasing and handcuffing a suspect. This action was taken a week following the arrest, as per an insider source.

It's interesting to me that this is unrelated to the BRAVE Cave. It means their investigation into this group has already uncovered shite from three years ago that is bad enough to draft arrest warrants. This is going to get real ugly.

Damn. How incompetent can you be?
I mean, back in the 90s you didn’t dare frick around in the French Quarter because the nopd didn’t play around with shenanigans in tourist areas. Lawsuits later, no coincidence crime out of control. BR cops doing similar shite having no effect on crime.
NOLA>BR

Two totally different time periods. Officers today have cameras in their face waiting for them to frick up.

Nakamoto has to run this by the mayor first.
