Does anyone here watch his videos? He’s a likeable and knowledgeable guy. I’ve not used any of his instructional videos, but his “What make this song great” videos can be very entertaining and interesting, imo.

Beato is a treasure. Rather than all the stupid reaction videos that are for some reason very popular, Beato breaks down the actual construction of songs and teaches us about them.

He’s a great resource for explaining deep music theory concepts and industry inside baseball to uninitiated audiences. I’m a big fan of his “what makes this song great” series. He’s also a solid interviewer, but I find those videos less interesting to me personally.

His Steve Lukather interview was fascinating. Definitely worth a watch.

Not too long ago, I posted the interview he did with John Petrucci, Tosin Abasi, and Devin Townsend. Interesting interview with three tremendous musicians. I caught their tour in NYC maybe a month or two before the interview came out.

First discovered him a decade or so ago when he’d post videos of his son’s perfect pitch… still amazed by that.

His videos are professional and interesting, his delivery is thoughtful and well-paced. And the content is usually top notch.

That dude has sent me down so many music rabbit holes! Check out his video about odd metered songs.

I love Beato. I know nothing about real musical theory and structure and his video's make me feel like I know less than nothing

But I love them!

Rick and his channel are amazing. I always take something away when I watch anything he's put out.
