Sure was.

Not sure why Chalmette got away from the run when they got into the red zone before the interception.

Hell, they were averaging 5 yards on that quarterback sneak.

I told my buddy that they should keep doing that up the field. HC couldn’t stop it

It was a good game. Both teams were sloppy but both teams fought hard

I have no issue with the roughing the punter. Again stupid because he was nowhere near a block.

The ref absolutely missed the face mask on the punt return but it would not have mattered.

But the bigger issue I have is this. In Louisiana 5A football, we should not have 5 man crews. The game at that level is too advanced and too fast. There are way too many missed penalties.

I understand it’s because we have an officiating shortage.

If this is how it’s going to be, I think we need to, as a region, consider more Thursday night games. Make each team that doesn’t share a stadium have one home game on a Thursday. Something to try to get back to 7 man crews.

Will say this though… tonight HC looked like they don’t really belong in the Catholic League anymore or we looked like we do… I’ll be interested to see their enrollment number for reclassification.

All you had to do was look at the size of the HC band. That’s tells you all you need to know.

MLK charter has a kid named Shifty that lives up to his name. Fast as hell too. I think he ran back 3 kickoffs for touchdowns tonight.

U high missed the FG but got another shot because lf roughing the kicker, that quite frankly wasn’t a good call at all

Greta game and atmosphere there tonight but the refs were bad for both sides. They threw 5-7 personal foul flags on both sides that were completely unnecessary calls that slowed the game down

Catholic is not good like the last 4-5 years. The 2022 class was the winningest class in CHS history.

Should be 0-3 so far this year.

My stepson said HC was playing dirty the whole game. He said they stomped his throwing hand several times, punching in the pile. HC didn’t have anything calls go against them hardly

He knows that, they believe that should have been PI. He’s upset because he didn’t beat HC his whole high school career.
