Just wanted to update y’all about asking my sons’s coach to allow him to wear #18 this year.

Had a great conversation with coach during his office hours. He apologized for the way he treated me after the game a few weeks ago, and I admitted talking to him after a loss probably wasn’t the best timing. Water under the bridge.

That being said, he told me that due to my son being an offense guard, #18 would be unavailable. I told him that in the new college rule book any player can wear any number they desire. He said he hadn’t heard that but would look into it.

It’s been 48 hours and I still haven’t heard anything. Should I make another appointment with him?

Put this to bed. He's telling you in the nicest way that he does not give a frick about your son wearing 18.

Dude 48 hours he should have gotten in touch with you by now. Definitely try to get in to talk to him tomorrow on game day. You don't wanna wait til after another game to confront him again. He won't have much on his mind on a game day morning so yes go talk to him.

Erroneous.

This isn't college.

Lets expand on this obviously healthy parent-child relationship: what's the significance of #18? Does your son like sexy androids?

Your son is playing college ball and you’re request things from the head coach? That seems insane.

I had a 24 hour rule for parents when I was coaching. Any conversation after a game has to have a 24 hour cooling off period first. In the case of your silly request I'd make it 24 months.
