Is CrossFit still a thing?

The wife is wanting to get in shape. I’m skeptical, but there looks to be a CrossFit building on the corner a couple miles up from our ranch.
Is this something a couple could do together? I’d like to see her lose a few pounds.

I lift, BJJ and have decent cardio.
No need for CF. But it is a good nontraditional way to improve strength and cardio.
So won't hate but will still laugh at crossfitters.

Pay attention to the background of the coaches. Especially for olympic or powerlifting moves, people often try to move faster than they should and sacrifice form.

Sooner or later one of y'all will become more dedicated to CrossFit and fitness in general than the other, and then whichever of you sticks with CrossFit will cheat on the other with someone from the gym

I did CrossFit for years in Shreveport and plenty of couples were there. It’s easy to keep up with. You go for an hour and the instructor tells you what to do. You keep up with everything on an app. It’s almost like a personal trainer. I got a lot stronger and in better shape than most guys in their late 40’s (OT excluded obviously). I just finished an Ironman over the summer.
I’ve never seen anything like the traditional CrossFit stereotypes that people make memes about. I think that’s overblown.

If you live where I think you live, have her check out Adrenaline 24/7 on Benton Road. My wife is the manager there. Very nice privetly owned gym. They have free child care and a good variety of different classes/trainers.
