Because I’ve seen enough CrossFit threads over the years to know that people love to mock it, but statistically a good percentage of those mocking it are out of shape.

Yep. I workout 4-5 times a week. I’m in the best shape I’ve been in since I was a sophomore in college. People shite on it but you’ll get results. Especially if you follow a good diet. Try to go to a gym that’s been around for a while. Like 10+ years. There’s a shite ton of new CrossFit gyms that fold within 2-3 years because the owners don’t know what the frick they are doing

Sooner or later one of y'all will become more dedicated to CrossFit and fitness in general than the other, and then whichever of you sticks with CrossFit will cheat on the other with someone from the gym
Its actually astonishing how accurate this is

You can do real pullups if you want to. And you'd still want to bang most of those women.

30 minutes to an hour on the Peloton every morning

Not even that, wife and I do 15 - 20 minute HIIT or Hills on it every morning and that's more than enough.

Yes. Lost 12 lbs of fat, gained 8 lbs of muscle since January with CrossFit + prioritizing protein in my diet.

172 lbs to 168 lbs total weight.

More specifically I was using 30-40% protein, 30-40% carbs (rice, sweet potatoes, etc) and roughly 20% fat.

I hate keto so stayed away from that.

If I didn't like bourbon so much my results would have been better ??.

I love the collaboration of the class setting. It's fun and competitive.

Before I started all I heard was negative shite about CrossFit.

I now laugh at that. Zero truth in what the naysayers say.

but I’m guessing it’s a bunch of out of shape OTers mocking a workout routine.

Or bench press heroes with skinny legs that get winded going up a flight of stairs

I own the Peloton bike and tread. Love them both and can workout without the hassle of gym.

I love it and think it’s a great way to get in shape with a community of likeminded people. Programming is important so make sure the owner/head coach isn’t just throwing hero WODs on the board everyday.

I started in my late 20s and all my max lifts went up and endurance has gotten better too. I push myself a lot harder in there than I would on my own/in my garage. All the globo gym baws will make fun of the gymnastics skills especially kipping pull-ups but ignore them.

I loved doing it and I miss the hell out of it. My wife and I quit back when she got pregnant with our first kid (he's 9 now) and working out in the garage gym isnt anywhere near as enjoyable. However, with our schedules these days it's the most practical place to workout.

Don’t let your wife join unless you’re ok with her having higher max lifts than the planet fitness baws.

After a couple years she’ll be power cleaning what the globo gym baws deadlift

Just start doing real boxing and Muay Thai workouts. You'll be at 10% body fat in 6 months.
