At least Nuss pushes the ball down field. Daniels hasn’t changed one bit from last year

Nussmeier has a higher ceiling than JD. JD looks the same as he did 5 years ago

So at what point do you decide that he's run the season into the ground to the point that you become a part of this "ignorant" take.

Won’t happen for me. If Daniels is in there I’ll assume it’s because he’s the one the coaches think can best get the job done, and I’ll assume they know better than I do.

If they put Nus in, I’ll assume it’s because he’s the one the coaches think can best get the job done, and I’ll assume they know better than me.

I’ve no doubt JD is the right answer for the question Kelly seems to currently be asking (“who will protect the ball better”) but fans might think that given our limitations on defense and at running back, a better question might be “who can win in the pass-heavy shootouts we are going to find ourselves in?”

So in other words, I can either believe that the average Rantard has longer and better vision than I have or than the professional coaching staff has...or...

I can believe that the average Rantard is a bleeding vagina that completely melts at the first sign of adversity.

Sorry...going with option two every time.

Nope, ignorant take per OP. Daniels will start clicking with the receivers any game now

He's no different in year 5 than he was in year 1. You believe in the tooth fairy, don't you

Go look at Kelly’s track record on QBs and report back. Also take a deep dive into their schedules while he was there. You’ll notice most games against quality teams they lose. He piled up crap wins at notre dame and was rewarded with a 100 million dollar contract because of it.

His wins are about as empty as JD stats.

The QB is the leader and sparkplug of the team . JD tends to stare down receivers and is not that accurate . Nuss has an extremely quick release and a strong arm . I would have let Nuss play the second half . JD is not a Heisman candidate . The Heisman winner may come from Deion’s team . Either Shedeur Sanders or the cornerback who plays both ways . I don’t see JD as any pro prospect .

I think the better question would be why was our play calling so poor and predictable. Especially on those 4th and 1’s. An RPO from the shotgun, how creative….

You mean the first zone read when JD handed it off into a stacked line but could have pulled it and walked in? There’s only so much of the offense available with a guy like JD. He has to make good decisions and be very accurate.

Yeah it’s not like we have a large sample size or anything. Daniels has only been playing college football for 5 years. Maybe in 2026 he can get where we need to be

You mean like all the other SEC teams who played garbage opponents in week 1. Hey, no excuses for the areas we sucked in but no one has any idea how good Bama or A&M or Tennessee or Ole Miss etc etc really are.

We were leading the 8th ranked team at half. You replace your starter while leading?

You know? You probably would.

They'll look like world beaters against Grambling.

You'll be so excited, which will only add to the apparent blind faith you have in this guy.

Some of us actually saw the looming disaster with Miles' insistence on Jefferson. Then the inevitable happened in the most important game of the year.

When it's too late for the "we-told-you-so's."

BTJ should’ve caught the ball but a good throw and he’s catching that in stride in the Endzone

And Lacy’s critical drop on a perfectly placed ball over the middle?

It’s ignorant not to see that had his “great” receivers caught balls in key situations last night, and not fallen down, Jayden comes out looking much better. This loss wasn’t on him. Not even close.

Or…

You can realize that sometimes even highly paid, highly skilled people are sometimes risk averse when 9 wins is good enough to keep a 7-figure paycheck, but fans that want entertainment and the hope of championships (even if low percentage) want to roll out the gunslinger.

It’s not about “having a longer or better vision” it’s about what you prioritize.

That said, if you were playing for the “longer vision” and not for this year…why would you play JD? JD is arguably the guy who lets you win more right now at the expense of getting game reps for your inexperienced gunslinger. JD is the “short vision”.

Have you noticed how transfers brought in by Kelly tend to play over others? JD, Lacy, etc.

It seems to me that Kelly is letting his pride get in the way of some of the decisions that need to be made. Just because you probably made some promise to these kids to transfer in, doesn’t mean you need to stick with them. JD, Lacy and other transfers not performing need to sit.

This didn’t just start. LSU has lost 3 out of the last 4 games. Try something new, go to a pro-style QB. Why not try it. Heck, play them both.

I said this many times during the offseason, good defenses have adjusted to Daniels shortcomings, Florida State, Georgia, A&M and Arkansas. Daniels has been exposed. The SEC is not gonna be fooled by Daniels vs this year.

Playoffs are probably gone. One more loss and you have to go with Nuss.
