Why? Because I cannot tolerate any of their voices. They suck, nails on a chalkboard annoying.

As previously mentioned Love Shack and a bunch from Prince.

People always roll their eyes at me when I say this.

Another song that doesn't grind my gears per se but where the lyrics are sort of nonsense. "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon. Great song musically but the lyrics "You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you" are sort of silly. The song is about him, the entire song. That's not vanity, that's reality.

Rolling Stone interviewed Beatty back in the '80s. The very first question, "You're So Vain, did you think that song was about you"? Yes Virginia, Rolling Stone once had a sense of humor.

Most songs by Bob Dylan. Lyrics are important, but vocal ability matters too.
