There are some nice things about most towns. The worst of New Orleans is about as bad as you can get in the US.

Drove through Grambling once. I would probably off myself if I had to live in that area of the state. There are another few towns somewhere between Krotz Springs and Alexandria that I drove through once. (Got off of the interstate coming back from Alexandria so I could piss.) They weren't any better. Knowing how I live compared to the actual poorest areas of the state, it's kinda depressing.

Lake City isn’t on my top ten list of the worst. I do remember a dive bar there called Frogs. The beer was cold and I’ll leave it at that.

Countless "towns" in Pakistan and India. Places in the Amazon basin are a bit rough. But far better than rural Pakistan or India.

The worst part of a town I have ever worked or been in was in Birmingham. Didn't get to see much of the rest of the city so its not fair to label the whole city bad.

This is a good answer. Forgot about it.
So has everyone else too....that place is as dead as a town can get.

That's how you know Alexandria is bad. Even people from there try to disguise it by using it's alias.
FTR: Been there many times. Don't love it there, don't even like it, but I would live there over say, Jackson, MS. So don't sell yourself completely short, Alexandria.

Isn't that right on the other side of the Rio Grande from Mexico?
