I sure the man doesn’t have a link but the point being is there was not near the emphasis that the players have now at their disposal guiding them to what they should be doing for nutrition rather going at it like junior high lunch hour at O’s

There were people in the building that saw the derailment happening. And alot of people lost their jobs bc of mismanagement at the top. It's easy to say from the outside looking in that "nobody was hungry to keep it going after 19". Do you realize that we still had some really good talent that could have and did return after 19?

The players should have routine meetings with sports nutritionists to ensure they are eating properly for their goals.

People forget covid yr took chase, shelvin, Vincent, farrell off the team.
Stingley has medical episode night before miss st. Brennan tears ab at Missouri. We were missing our best offensive player and defensive player in chase and shelvin... take away Perkins Campbell / brooks, and I bet we'd feel little different about this up coming season. Alot more went into it besides O can't coach. Lost focus, sure seems like it, for sure. But football might be only thing O does know.

I saw a documentary about the nutrition program under O on YouTube and it was like soft serve ice cream machines and pizza buffets. The linemen were eating the same stuff as the cornerbacks.
The nutrition center was fine under O, the primary difference is accountability. I have some knowledge of this from someone who worked there as a student under both regimes. The current staff is a little better and somewhat more focused on individual tailoring of diets and supplements but those are really only marginal differences.
The biggest change from O to Kelly was the coaching staff's attitude toward the nutrition program. Under O, it was go or don't for your daily supplements, whatever. Now the coaches want a list of who shows and who doesn't every week. At least last year they did. The difference for football, in terms of participation, was pretty significant. Interestingly, baseball changed little and always had virtually complete participation plus a lot of really nice guys, Tre Morgan in particular was extremely friendly and courteous to the staff there.

First of all, their bodies burn 1500 calories just to maintain vital function (breathing, heart beat, warmth, etc). They would burn this many calories if they just laid in bed. They probably need to ingest 3000 calories a day to just to meet the basic needs of repair from running, lifting and practicing.
All of that being said, it matters what the 3000 (or more) calories are. It can’t just be protein, or carbs, or fat…..it should be the proper combination of quality calories to avoid unnecessary weight gain (loss) and be conducive to recovery.
In short….it matters what they eat.

Yep. Accountability has been the watchword since Kelly got there. That difference, though it may seem subtle in some respects, seems to permeate everything football does and that was certainly seen at the nutrition center.

He had a good day, 77 yards on 12 touches. 61 rushing and 16 receiving. Hope he has an opportunity for some touches this year backing up McCaffery. Really liked him as a player and a true Tiger.

Not any weirder than the Orgeron sycophants. People at either extreme are weird.
However, Orgeron did not emphasize or seem to even care if his players took their daily supplements or made use of the nutrition center. And the Ops statement is not outlandish where this specific detail is concerned

In this case, it was me trying to be nice in what I said. Sycophant is probably not the most apt description at this point anyway. I should have probably just said fanboys.
Sorry if I offended you O sensibilities.

They actually gave them macros and meal plans they wanted them on, just there was no follow up and no consequences for not following.

He left with a winning record vs Kirby.
His team beat a string of opponents who had quarterbacks who are now starters in the NFL.
Speaking of clueless f**** getting paid.
How did Miles get such a payout and leave with all the those violations hidden.
