Ubers to Manhattan to JFK are $100-$150

Wow. I got black car service from LGA to Times Square for half that, including tip, back in the day. (2010.)

JFK can FOAD. As can LGA.

Wow, just wow. I've flown overseas for less than that in coach. I guess whatever New York is doing is working?

My old driver died a few days before he was supposed to pick me up on a Sunday (I found out because his daughter texted me when I was trying to figure out where he was). Polish dude, he always called me "short pants man," as I showed up in shorts and no jacket even in January in NYC.

Still don’t understand why people group these into discussions about Uber/Lyft

Gig apps are all sort of the same. Unfulfilled expectations, primarily. I wish Steve Jobs were still around to unfrick all four entities.

You didn't right? And if you did, they paid you for that time?

This and the cord cutters really thought they were leading a revolution. Nope same old story, kill the competition, jack up the prices

Don’t use Lyft. I had to get a charge back from my bank. I spent about $100 in total one weekend on 4 rides. Charges totaled over $250. Somebody told me they are going out of business so literally scamming people as much They can

It's not the apps, it's the drivers. They'll claim that you puked in their vehicle, when you didn't, etc. The platform is not the problem.

I’d wager if you’re drunk or have even been drinking and need a ride home it’s a better than driving.

Management and cleaning fees are ridiculous. Especially when they leave you a to-do list of chores after you’ve paid a $300 cleaning fee. A $400/night place can easily double

UberX from central Houston to IAH will run you $75. Uber black closer to 150 (or more depending). My last ride to sons high school, 5 miles from house, was $44

You know you live in a city that's too big when driving isn't a good option to get to your local airport.

i'll tell you what he's talking about. i used to park at my office which is 5 miles from the nashville airport and pay under $10 earlier this year it went up to $34 and the last trip was $49. i deleted the app.

I live in Franklin and take an Uber to the airport if I’m gone longer than a couple days because it’s cheaper than paying for long-term parking. I generally pay less than what you say you do from what I presume is downtown. I’m also guessing you got an Uber during peak hours.

The only people driving for them now are weird/unemployed. The guys in the Teslas drive so damn slow (range anxiety), they make you mental.

Eff it, I'll pay to park.

I agree. Drove myself to BTR two weeks ago and left my car parked 9 days for $81 because an Uber from my house in Riverbend to BTR (13 miles) was $54. Knew I wouldn't get a $26 fare home to beat the parking price.

I got down voted for trying to help people. No, it would show on the app if it said I puked in the car. I didn’t and it didn’t. Lyft is literally taking more money than they should from people, like millions at a time, then getting interest on that money and giving it back 2 weeks later through pending charges on people’s accounts. In my case they just straight took the money cause it was settled. I had to get a charge back. My bank agreed with me. I had to show me them my entire Lyft account and the rides I made. Lyft is a scam.
Keep using them if you want money to be stolen from you. This has never once happened to me on Uber. I ride at least 3 ubers a week.
