What does Wandy going at 5% vs Nunes prove?

Nah man. Armbar!
Never mind logic, physics,or…logic.
Weird white knighting going on in this thread.

If you’re going to try to have a reasonable conversation, where would you say the cut off line (in regards to weight) is for an untrained athletic man vs a trained athletic woman? 50 lbs? 75 lbs? Or are you arguing that there is no limit if the male is untrained and the female is a “professional”?

Years ago I was rolling with a buddy of mine who had a ~40 lb weight advantage on me. I tried to armbar him and he literally just curled me

Such a red herring.
Weight classes are necessary for fighters with similar training. There are a huge number of examples of weight/strength not being the determining factor in a fight, early Tough Man comps, and well World Star/X. If this wasn't the case fights could be predicted with near 100% certainty with a formula that just included weight and big 3 totals for each fighter.
The question is pro female fighter vs untrained baw.
Nobody ITT outside a few who are apparently fairly well trained would enter the octagon with Suga Sean or the Funk Master at 135# and expect to leave walking despite most having a clear weight advantage and possibly a strength advantage for a few. Even their lizard brain knows better. Technique and training overshadow some serious weight and strength disparities in MMA. That is 100% fact.
The ONLY issue here is can the skill of one of the best Bantamweight female fighters in the world overcome the weight and strength advantage of wholly untrained people in this thread in a fight.
One thing to ponder is outside of pure strength competitions* how many sports in the entire pantheon of sports can an untrained man beat the very best women in the world? Why then does combat sports seem so difficult for untrained men to admit they might get rocked?
* even in pure strength most elite/pro level women would outclass an untrained man. The 158# class women powerlifting record total (B/S/D) is 1172 pounds. The percentage of men on tOT that can do this is very low. 117# women's record is 940# and the percentage here that can go straight to the gym and total 800# is going to be small and the ones that can post a 800#+ total have been doing some training it isn't just what is left over from the weight room in high school.

That is literally the only issue here that has carried this thread to 30 pages. I don't think anybody here will dispute a dude that outweighs Amanda by 100 pounds that could connect with a punch would absolutely knock her into the middle of next month. But, and this is a big but, very few if any could do it. With her training, she would simply just slip a punch since she sees those all day and knows how to counter and then proceed to completely frick you up by leg kicks or strikes or just simply take your back and put you to sleep.
I have an interesting story. I have been training BJJ for damn near 20 years now. I am under Royler Gracie but have rolled with Royce, Rickson, and Kron. They are all legit and obviously Rickson is maybe the best but I love Royler. He can literally tell you how he will tap you before you roll with him and I probably outweigh him by a good 50 pounds. He isn't tall either. I am 5'11" and probably have him by 3 inches. I also still powerlift and could literally bench press him 20 times over. With all of that being said, he tells me in his broken English that comes off sounding more Portuguese than anything that I will arm bar you from my guard before you can think about passing within in a minute. Now I am thinking this little runt couldn't possibly pull my hands off my lapels if I just stall and grip them tightly so good luck little guy but damn if he doesn't do it and it's not like I haven't been on a mat a few times. So, I would be shocked if an untrained guy could beat Amanda Nunez.

Is he stronger than her, which you also outweigh by 50#?
You mention starting in his guard, wearing a gi. That is not close to the scenario provided. You conflate losing to a man, that is a professional, playing at his strength, vs losing to a woman, without the benefit of starting in a favorable position.

Where do you draw the line between skill vs size? 50 lbs? 75 lbs? Are you delusional enough to think the line doesn’t exist?

She looks intimidating but Nunes beat the shite out of her and put her to sleep. Nunes would beat most men because most men are pussies. Actual tough guys would beat her down, but to beat her you'll have to take some damage which disqualifies a bunch of men. Any fighter is going to walk around significantly larger than their fighting weight, so with a 135 lb fighter, you're actually talking about a 150+ fighter that traines from and is dangerous from every position.
I've boxed and wrestled enough to know that even a female that trains to fight every day is going to be better at fighting than most men that have never trained or don't regularly train. Also, most people can't take a punch even less can take a kick.

He might want to tell the woman he is offering random men to come try and beat her. That’s like a very abusive pimp relationship

No. The last time I was punched in the face was a decade ago.

I honestly do not think there is an upper weight limit per se. If you have a clearly untrained 635# dude in the ring with her I bet on Amanda despite the 500 extra pounds of fluff. He would never be able to touch her and she would just snipe him for 3 or 5 rounds and take the UD. So weight alone is not an issue IMO. Now when weight comes with strength like say a 350-400# monster like Brian Shaw or Eddie Hall (even before the latter started combat sports training) I think the table turns significantly in their favor, almost ridiculously so. There is probably an outlier or two here that could take her using pure strength and ignorance but that number is a lot lower than people seem to think in the thread.

I’d think most of the fights would go about like this. You baws are over weight and out of shape. As for me I’m old, arthritic, lazy,, and a smoker. If I couldn’t finish it in 20-30 seconds game over for me. Tap tap.

This is the problem with all women's sports. We try to give them validity by comparing them to average men. Why is that the measuring stick?
I'm pretty sure almost every woman that trains professionally for a sport can beat me at that sport. That just makes sense. It doesn't mean I respect them for that or are impressed by their skills. I just realize that no matter what they do they can't be competitive with the top 10-20% of men. So why would they matter?
