Slow down and avoid being entraped.

Better to just avoid them all together so I don’t have to worry about supporting their shithole economy in any way.

True story: St. Landry or Evangeline parish (can't remember which one) lost out on a huge trucking warehouse development because their truckers kept getting tickets by their sheriff's office.

Baton Rouge because that is where the big deals go down.

20 years ago, Ferriday had to be up there. But now, they’ve devolved so far that I don’t think the local government even gives a shite about swindling passers-through out of money by way of speeding tickets anymore. Seems like Clayton may have taken the title of po-dunk speed trap town.

This will be impossible to measure due to the rampant corruption in LA, but Plaquemines and St. Bernard parishes as a whole have to be up there.

This is the correct answer.

Idk about a city, but Ascension Parish is arrogantly and blatantly "in your face" corrupt. Particularly on the LE/justice system side of things.

The speed limits are set arbitrarily low to prey on anyone trying to get from point A to point B, whether locals or travelers. The locals know that the speed trap revenue isn’t being used to improve anything. Where, exactly, is the money going if it isn’t being used to improve anything in the town or parish?

Robeline springs to my mind as an example. It used to be one of the most notorious speed traps in the state. Iirc, they got in trouble with the state and had to change their speed trap ways. The money certainly didn’t go to improve nearby roads or other town infrastructure or amenities. Where did the money go?

And those slimy fricking “city marshals” that only exist to write tickets on Hwy 90.

The most corrupt city in La? Come on man, you have to ask "other than New Orleans", with that said there is probably corruption in every small town. If there was an investigation done into every city in this state, they would find something, but I would imagine that would be the case for most small towns in the country.

You know how there are those lights you can shine over things to see if there are blood stains or bed bugs or whatever? I wish there was something that could be shined over cities or something and it shows just how much corruption there is.

Don’t shite on Grant Parish.People drive like maniacs on Hwy 71,passing on hills, double yellow lines, etc.there have been at least 10 fatal wrecks between Parker Chairs and Montgomery in just last 10 years, best I can recollect.

Just a few months ago 3 people were killed right before the horse farm.Car was passing on a hill and hit another car head on.

I lived here since 2000 and I’ve gotten 2 speeding tickets,I was truly speeding.

BTW,our sheriff has paid his property taxes at least for past 10 years,as far as available records show.
I would have bet $10,000 he had before I looked it up.I just did the trust but verify thing.
