I wanted to make a PSA and get some opinions. Today was my kids first day at a high school in Ascension parish. My daughter was specifically asked if she wanted to hide her pronouns from her parents by her teacher. I’m not ok with this. What recourseshould we as parents have?

Raise hell with the Principal and if you don't get satisfaction, call your school board rep.

I think you mean recourse.

And I think the teacher in question should be named and shamed.

My youngest daughter informed me that one of her teachers (English) had Pride flags in her classroom, and has the Pride flag above the US Flag -- and she sat down during the pledge of allegiance.

Her friend, as soon as she walked into another English class (a different teacher) was asked which pronoun she wanted to be called.

This is disturbing. How about you just teach your fricking class the course in which they have to take --- instead of trying to indoctrinate these kids. Luckily, my youngest daughter (and oldest) knows better and discreetly makes fun of this nonsense.

Damn, this shite is infiltrating the south. No longer isolated in "liberal enclaves".

There is no refuge from this shite in public schools. Private schools are not immune either. You should fight these clowns tooth and nail, and get several mad mommas on your team. If you can’t get a movement together, you may have to find a private school, homeschool your child, or move.

At this point, nowhere is safe anymore. This bullshite has spread to nearly every region in the US. It’s even infiltrating private schools as well.

Now that teachers from the baby boomer generation are all retiring or have been retired, the younger generations of teachers (millennials and Gen Z) are filling their shoes and taking over now. This demographic of people are farther left compared to the boomer generation, and are twice as likely to use social media and fall for woke propaganda bullshite.

Put her in private school. I made the move last year. Money well spent.

I have a 9th grader I pulled from ascension this summer. Going to Parkview.

Tired of gay pride flags all over classrooms, gay talk, trans homecoming queens, etc.

I moved here for the schools, now Im forking out almost 20k a year to avoid them.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the new superintendent that just took the reigns.

I have for over 25 years voted for every teacher raise and other taxes to help build a great school system. The sun may be setting on this.

Wow. I didn’t know AP schools were doing crap like this. Raise hell about it. Majority of this parish is not cool with shite like that and we’re the ones funding these schools.
