re: Live hunt for a big hog.

Blaze!! When are you going to send us some more seasoning? Pickings are getting slim around here!
The finals start soon and it will be great TV. I think Catholic bruins network is broadcasting it. Lots of great wrestling coming today.
I won’t disagree that 7mag was a lot for a 16 yr old, but it’s what I had. I borrowed a 7mm-08 for her, but never got to put it on a bench to check on it before the hunt.

The machine gun 30 round mag dumps were for sure a highlight. They all made sure to get videos of each other doing that!
Thought I’d share a fun weekend story. I really enjoy greeting news people into hunting and the outdoors. This weekend I took my son, daughter, and a couple of their friends to the camp to hunt, shoot, and ride 4 wheelers.

I got the privilege so hunt with my daughter this weekend while she killed her first deer. She short a doe at 100 yards with a 7 mag and made a shot that even the most experienced hunters would be proud of.

She had a bet with her brother and his friend of who was killing something first. Five minutes after she won, my son busted a hog with a rifle I handed down to him that was handed down to me from my grandfather.

Then 3 minutes after that his friend shot his first buck. It was a young 4 pt, but to see the excitement of that young man was worth it.

We ended the night eating deer meat and shooting machine guns. Needless to say the kids are hooked and has a blast!
Yotes galore. I killed 2 this morning while they tried to eat a baby javi.

Tiger’s Sun Day Red

I was sitting here in a bar thinking about football season, and I think I’d like a tiger Sunday red logo made into purple and gold on a polo. Kinda off the wall, but I think it would look good
That baseball recruiting thread is garbage. People don’t want to have to sort through 2 years of stuff to find out what’s going on now. Guess we’ll just have to wait.
I think you’re right… I’m going to guess 136 6/8.
Dr. Brumley,

I am reaching out in hopes that you can provide some recourse. My daughter started her freshman year at Dutchtown High School last week. My son is a junior at the same school. The teachers typically assign some sort of “getting to know you” survey on the first day to collect student information.

This year, it seems that a majority of the surveys included a question asking the students to name their preferred pronouns. Both of my children were asked this question. While the junior tends to tune out this sort of thing, my daughter felt offended that she was forced to participate in someone else’s delusion by pretending that pronouns are actually customizable.

However, my daughter had an additional question that she said made her feel very uncomfortable. This question asked which names and pronouns students would like the teacher to use around their parents and guardians. The idea that an adult would deliberately push this agenda on children and then support lying to parents about it is appalling.

We talk to our children about safety on social media and warn them to be watchful for anything inappropriate and for anyone who asks them to hide things from us. Yet here they are at school, subjected to one of the very things we’ve told them is dangerous.

I have followed your work at the department of education and appreciate your recent comments on the news that teachers should not push a gender ideology on students. I understand that some teachers may intentionally push this agenda, while other teachers may be simply misguided. I have always been a huge supporter of teachers and of education. I want a high quality education for my children— not indoctrination.

What can be done to ensure this does not continue in our schools?

Update
Sorry I have not been able to respond to this anymore. After talking with some people and doing some research I recommend anyone who is concerned about this to email the state superintendent. He seems to have shown to have values that coincide with those in this thread who are concerned. His email is
Cade.brumley@la.gov

I will be emailing him tomorrow, and will update with any response.

I’m working with several mad mommas… They are not happy finding out that theirs children are being manipulated. Feel free to spread the word!

You’re a dumbass and have been for years. Shut up and quit being a troll!
Was this in ascension? If so my daughters friends have the other teacher. Apparently there are several pride flags in her room.

I edited…

It was apparently several of the teachers. I’m emailing the principal, superintendent, BESE, and my representative.

Guess I just wanted other parents to be aware.

Ascension parish schools

I wanted to make a PSA and get some opinions. Today was my kids first day at a high school in Ascension parish. My daughter was specifically asked if she wanted to hide her pronouns from her parents by her teacher. I’m not ok with this. What recourseshould we as parents have?
