A couple that I know were caught in the act by their 7 - 8 year old nephew. They found out the next morning when the child said that he saw Uncle John on top of Aunt Jane "hugging" her.
That was how a sexually unaware child interpreted what he saw. So to the OP, if she does catch you, depending on the amount on how dark or light the room is, your daughter will likely have a similar interpretation.
