Well aren't you wholesome AF.

Being a kid at the beginning of the Star Wars universe was fun.

Playing Atari.

Shooting BB guns.

Fishing in our pond.

I love how I can still remember this: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start...but I can't remember the name of the guy I've worked in the same office with for the past five years. Sometimes I just want to ask my brain, "what the f--k are you doing up there?"

Never any planning anything with the neighborhood kids, the front doors were left open starting about 9 am on the weekends and you just walked in to get your buddies to go play outside or ride bikes and knew to be back for lunch before heading back out till dinner

Riding bikes around town all day on weekends and during the summer.

Going to the convenience store near our neighborhood to buy cokes and candy, or icees.

Building ramps to jump our bikes on or skateboard on.

Building clubhouses in the fields/woods on the edge of town, we once accidentally almost set a field on fire when our "campfire" started to get out of control.

I grew up a few blocks from Galveston Bay so we could walk to the water and spend a lot of time fishing or crabbing.

Just being outside from morning until sunset.

Growing up in a rural area and having camp outs in the summer. We would take off on our bikes after dark and ride around. If we saw a car coming in the distance we would ride into a field or the ditch and lay down our bikes so we wouldn’t “get caught”! At the time it seemed like we were doing something so daring.

Roaming for miles around all day in the woods and then swimming in the creek to cool off.

Pissing off the bull in a nearby pasture then scrambling up a tree to escape.

Heading home in the evening to a home cooked meal from mom.

Staying up until 3 am playing Halo with friends and sleeping in until 1-2 in the afternoon cause my room was in the basement and completely blacked out.

Not a care in the world
