this successful movie might not have ever seen the inside of a theater without the help of food giant Goya Foods.
quote:

“We helped him buy [“Sound of Freedom”] from Disney [and] became executive producers on that,” Mr. Unanue told The Epoch Times in a phone interview. “It just so happened that several years later trying to get it distributed that Angel Studios appeared on the scene.”

Goya did not disclose the amount of money it contributed to the project.

Well that's awesome. A major corporation I feel no desire to boycott at all.

Every once in a while I treat myself to a can of Goya coconut juice. Very very difficult to get every single bit of coconut out of the can. Very difficult. Almost impossible. I've never had that success to be honest.

Fun Fact...

Ali Landry's husband, Alejandro Monteverde, directed the film.

Goya's Recaito and Sofrito are an alternative approach to black beans and rice (aka Moros y Cristos). I usually stary with some cut up pan fried bacon, add drained canned Goya black beans, and then the Sofrito, and serve over white rice.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Propaganda media drum up some anti Goya "news".
