There is just no reason in my mind to go out and be miserable playing golf in this heat. I can see messing around at the driving range.

I played 9 twice this week. Prefer to walk. Would have rode 18, but greens are punched and I did not think it was worth paying up to ride.

Greens will heal. I’ll ride 18 until it cools off some. I’ll walk 9 anytime.

Just finished playing 18 about an hour ago, teed off at 10:35. Had a few folks out there. It was very hot but had a cooler with Florida water mixture and ice and cooling towel so it wasn’t that bad. Ground was hard as rock, need rain badly.

Played 9 three times this week and playing 18 Saturday and Sunday. Would play 9 today but going to a movie a little early. It was brutally hot but enough water, Gatorade, and a towel to wipe my hands off got me through it.

I love the long days because I can start at 6:00 and still get 9 in.

I live on a course and see the same 15-20 old bastards out there close to every day. Doesn’t matter if its 105 degrees, raining sideways, or frost on the ground.

Driving range in the summer is way more miserable than actually playing

Amen. If I am going to the driving range, it is going to be super early since our range has no shade. You go past 10 and you are going to sweat a bucket and literally be drenched when you are done. Screw that.

Honestly I don't mind playing when it is hot. I think I have played mostly afternoons every week since this heat wave started since I am usually playing solo. My client golf usually are mornings though. Course is usually empty in the afternoons so rounds are quick and you can hydrate and keep cool towels handy to make it bearable. I mean sure it is fricking hot, but not Iraq wearing body armor and kevlar helmets hot.

Depends if there are any trees that give you shade on one end. I can get morning shade on one end and afternoon on the other side.

When you’re miserable and drenched in sweat and hit top speed in the golf cart…

I've played 45 alraedy this week and 18 more tomorrow and I sweat more on the range in 45 minutes in direct sun then I do riding 18 in a cart. Walking now is rough but I can handle it for 9 in the afternoons or mornings before 12

Tuesday, walked 9 at 4pm
Wednesday, rode 18 (9 holes solo around 4, then 9 hole best ball started at 5)
Friday, rode 18 starting at 4pm
Sunday, teeing off at 8:50

Obviously rotating two gloves is necessary, playing somewhere with a good pace of play is required, staying in the shade until it's time to hit the ball, lots of water throughout the day and on the course (I'll easily go through a 32oz tumbler on the front and back) and this little thing helps move air alot when I'm parked and even clips on the front handle of my push cart. When I know I'll be solo I'll clip two on my cart, one in front and one behind me

Played 18 yesterday with my son at Atchafalaya. Teed off at 8:30. Minimal balls on the range, 5 chips and 5 putts then drank water with a vengeance. Completely drenched after 2 holes and questioning my sanity but my son wanted to play so I'm not passing that up.

Not many golfers out there so we took a 30 minute break in the clubhouse at the turn where we drank more waters, Powerade and soaked up some BTU's. Had to dry my non-gloved hand and grip every shot so it wouldn't fly out my hands every swing. I think I lost 15lbs... .

Spent a little over an hour on the range yesterday at 4 pm and was soaked
Rode 18 today at 2. The heat doesn’t bother me to much
