that team had a better college career than the three of those combined
Brady wasn’t much in college and the other two played at lower levels, but they still put up crazy stats. Moss had only one season, but had 1820 yards and 26 TDs in 13 games. Rice had 1845 yards and 27 TDs in his senior year and 4700 yards and 50 TDs in his career.

Stats dont lie.
JJ > Randy Moss
JJ > Randy Moss

Otherwise, you are spot on, as Rice and Moss are considered two of the best college receivers of all time, regardless of lower level.

What about his calves? And does their mom coach basketball?

Not a huge stretch since his son was a TE.

The 2019 offense's legacy will be incredible by the time JJ, Chase and Burrow are done playing in the NFL. And then you had guys like CEH and TMJ who were excellent that year too.

No, that would be Herman Johnson.

People are going to look back on 2019 LSU as if Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and Jerry Rice played together in college.
This reminds me of the 1979 USC team. As much as I fricking hate USC, their 1979 roster had a crazy number of players drafted and four ended up in the HoF (including Ronnie Lott and Marcus Allen). They were supposed to be an all-time great roster, and I thought that kind of talent would never be replicated on a college team again given various changes in the game, recruiting regs etc...until the 2019 Tigers. The talent we had on that team is incredible.

Pretty damn good for a lowly 2 star kid, isn’t it. (Another example of why coaches know more idiot sports analyst star gazers

Justin Jefferson... I always thought he was going to be "just" a possession receiver, because he ran great routes and had great hands.
And then, he ran a 4.4 at the combine...
just for fun, here's his nfl.com Draft Prospect page:

Weaknesses
Spread scheme threw field wide open for him
Needs more attention to detail with his routes
Too complacent to beat coverage with athletic ability
Unable to run away and separate from tight man
Size and strength across from him impede production
Will take time adjusting to press looks as a pro
Limited one-on-one prowess to win 50/50 throws
Separation talent just average outside

I see. It looks like Sports-Reference only lists 1-A stats. That explains why they didn’t have any for Rice at all. Only one year didn’t seem right for Moss. I should have double-checked. As you say, that only reinforces the fact that Moss and Rice had two of the greatest college careers ever for receivers. They weren’t just great pros.

Thats very impressive but to be fair the NFL has become a much more pass happy league then it was in the 80's-early 2000's.

Hope the Jefferson family keep cranking out those athletes for Louisiana football.
Justin is the best of all of them but has put in some hard work too.

If the Jefferson boys pick good mates, we could be looking at an All-Jefferson 22 man within 2 generations
