I don't think they're as slimy as they are 100% unnecessary.
Maybe slimy in that the unofficially blackball any FSBO unless the client actively pursues it- that's kind of shitty.

Chiros and PI attorneys are symbiotic.
Two top 5 sleaze professions being codependent means they have to be at the top of the list.

I'm in brokerage between insurance agents and underwriters, we find good agents and try to build with them but they are few and far between. Usually when I or my boss start talking about anything beyond premiums and commission most agents eyes glaze over.
A good insurance agent is worth their weight in gold but commission grifters are a dime a dozen. Same can be said for real estate agents.

I think it is a triple dead heat here.

Most big time realtors are attractive women nowadays.
And they win because dudes want to frick them and their wives want to be them.
Or they came into the game very connected.

Yes I read your post. Insurance companies use adjusters, not roofers. The insured selects who they want to do the repairs or reroof

You can add Funeral Director/sales and just about anyone with the "Manager" title at a car dealership.

1) Social Media Influencer.
No other profession comes close.
BTW, No need to single PI attorney's. ALL of them are equally slimy.

It always amazes me how accurate insurance info and advice here on the OT is always downvoted and argued. People here are idiots. They always think they know better.

It amazes me that their professions are so much more admirable as if there is honor in making less money and not owning a business.
There’s always bad apples, but I go to bat for my customers and my reputation reflects that. I’m sorry if you think insurance should be a charity.
If some of these assholes had to settle a death claim and deliver a check to a widow they’d change their tune, maybe…

I’ve had to deal with all the professions that you listed and have to admit that there are questionable members of all those professions.
Car salesman is the one I hate dealing with the most because they are all trained to deal a certain way and to keep going back and forth between you and someone you never see or meet until they wear you down. I dealt with that once and every purchase since then I’ve took control of the negotiations and if they try to overpower me, I leave. That changes their tune fast and it really pisses them off when you leave, go somewhere and buy a vehicle and drive back to the dealership and show it to their sales manager.
-Every insurance salesman has tried to steer me to things I didn’t want nor need.
-Every real estate agent had connections and buddy system ties with inspectors, appraisers and closing agencies and made way more than the service they provided justified.
-The only Chiropractor I ever went to ruptured my L4 disc.
-The only PI attorney I’ve dealt with strung me along and kept adding fees and delaying the case for over 3 years without giving me a verifiable cost amount until the last day of mediation and in the end they got 49% of the settlement.
-both roofers I’ve dealt with insisted on dealing with my home owner insurance company and both ended up charging the insurer almost double the amount of my original quotes, the insurance company paid it but it made me feel ripped off and betrayed.
So all these services and others lend themselves to slim ball status at times.

Someone started a bitch at realtor thread on here the other day, only for everyone to dunk on him because he was the dummy in the situation.
