There’s both Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, very different physiques as one basically ate himself out of pro soccer and the other one (Ronaldinho) is a skinny dude.

And they were both stars of the 2002 team that won the World Cup.

Imo if I said Ronaldo was a top 5 South American player and Ronaldinho was in the top 10, no one would be think I’m trolling, even if they had some disagreements.

I think that is more of a skill than just athleticism.

Jim brown is considered the greatest athlete to ever play football, considered the greatest football player ever, and was a multiple time all American lacrosse player. This wasn’t a troll.

I don’t think there will be another Phelps or Bolt in my lifetime, and I’m a healthy guy in my 30s.

And I also generally believe each generation is better than the one before it, in terms of athleticism and skill.

We just happened to have two freaks of nature born very close together. Add in LeBron, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Messi all being roughly the same age (along with Nadal and Djokovic), and it’s pretty incredible.

All of them were born within 2.5 years of each other.

I'd be inclined to agree. I'd add Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Sugar Ray Robinson, and maybe even Bonds to the honorable mentions

South America - what soccer player? Ronaldo, Pele, Messi, or is there some other individual

That's a good list--Pele if we're going soccer. Great boxing tradition there too. Maybe Carlos Monzon or Roberto Duran

Europe
Alexander Ovechkin, Giannis, or C. Ronaldo? The Tennis GOAT is likely European so whomever you might think that is out of Borg, Federer, Nadal, Djokovic would have a say.

Asia - is Ohtani the answer?
Looking like it will be. Yao or Manny Pacquiao maybe?

Nah man. Brazilian Ronaldo from the late '90s-early '00s. Unstoppable goal scorer.
