Arkansas on occasion.

Yes, before this season the last time we ranked #1 in attendance was 2018 or 2019.

Pretty much 9/10 for the SEC. And it's not like Southern Miss isn't in between 3 or 4 other SEC schools The south rules baseball.
Gotta say...Florida got those numbers up, they have fans as long as the games are in Gainesville

Impossible. The rant assured me throughout the season that we had tons of empty seats every week.

Well that’s paid attendance, not actual attendance.

No lie, I thought this was an SEC ranking and had to double take lol

I was starting to wonder...those numbers seem...high for butts in seats. 11,000 avg for a stadium with a capacity of 10,000

We need the Marlins to start sucking so we can have a higher average than 2 MLB teams. (Oakland is in the bag at this point.)

If we're being honest with ourselves, the Gulf Cost doesn't have MLB teams. You have the Astros in Houston and Braves in Atlanta but between that there's nothing. That's why college baseball matters so much down here, and I'll go a step further and say that's why CFB matters a lot too. Not sure about basketball but the south is rich in football and baseball talent, I don't think it's as concentrated in basketball talent as those

I’m with you, but you forgot Tampa and Miami as Gulf Coast pro teams.

Sorta could agree until you see Texas A&M is on the list, but then Georgia isn't
Georgia wasn't any good this year, till you realize neither were Ole Piss and State.
Can't explain what's going on out west, but certainly up north the season starts too early. Can't play baseball in the snow

LSU way out in front, even ahead by 77K of Arkansas who has a bigger stadium.
It's interesting the top 8 are all SEC teams! Baseball seems to be undervalued everywhere else.

That's great.
And props to State and OM. They had train-wrecks of season but still showed up for the games.
And Auburn and Bama really need to get their baseball stuff together. Auburn has been to the CWS recently. No reason for them not to have better attendance.

Miami is technically gulf coast but it's not really what people think of when they think of gulf coast. Tampa I'll give you, my freshman year at LSU in 08 I did actually see a lot of Rays shirts and flags in the dorms and I remember being surprised by it. I don't really think of it as SEC domain though.

UGA has the Braves in Atlanta. And saying this makes me vomit, but A&M supports their athletic programs across all sports way better than UGA fans do. Majority of UGA fans care about football, die hard football fans granted, but nothing else. Aggie fans, as weird as they are, will support their teams across all sports.

quote:Yall need to be reminded over and over that this is paid attendance. Florida is up because they built a new bigger park with tons of football fans buying up the season tickets as part of a drive to sell them for baseball. Those aren’t even close to real numbers.

*Paid* Averages:
LSU: 11,188
Ms State: 11,094
Ole Miss: 10,095
Arky: 9,762
This isn’t the runaway y’all think it is. Had state hosted at all in the post season, they’d have a higher paid average than us.

Arky is a lot lower on average than I thought they would be.
Probably getting tired of paying to see DVH be a choke artist
