Pro pitchers pitch on 4 days rest so Skenes will be fine. It was not many years ago pitchers threw every 4 days. They threw for years with 3 days rest. He will be fine probably throw 7 innings.

No, they don't. They also don't understand that the season is over if we lose tonight. Skenes gives you the best bet. That is who will be on the mound.

Maybe more so than rest, it's the routine change you have to factor in.

If he goes tonight, it's something new.

Sometimes something new works, sometimes it doesn't. CJJ is paid to figure that out.

IMO we'll be fine no matter who pitches tonight if we don't give up free bases.

They pitch on 5 days rest, and only the best ones do that regularly. And it's never after 120 pitches each outing.

Most big league teams have a 5 man rotation they don’t play 7 days a week. They play 5 to 6 games a week. He’ll mostly pitch with 6 days rest. Sometimes 5 sometimes 7. Hardly ever 4 unless it’s postseason. It’s postseason now.

If you actually count it as 24 hour intervals from Saturday night to tonight, he’ll be on 5 days rest.

Do ppl not understand that Skenes will not only pitch 6-7 tonite, but also will start Monday with the plan being until the tank is empty? lol. Its for all the marbles now

And just think about his future earnings if hes still clockin 99 in the 9th on Monday.

I'll say it again. I want Skenes to pitch. He's by and far our best chance.

But the reason you are giving here is invalid. Those Pro pitchers are conditioned to pitch on that schedule. Skenes isn't.

Once in MLB,Skenes will be conditioned to pitch that schedule over time and it won't begin in a win or go home game.

What difference does it make if we lose tonight or win tonight but go 0-2 against Florida? Saving Skenes for Saturday is your best chance to bring a trophy home.

Could be less. Possibly could start the year in bullpen. If , big if, he goes up in September this year he would get an appearance or 2 and start a home game with a good match up for him.

You took 1 guy and used a 4 week sample, in which he pitched twice on 4 days rest and got shelled both times and then was off for 6

Most teams have 5 man rotation at minimum and with days off it will be 5-6 days off
