Why can't white people in New Orleans say "ask"?

I was just talking to a woman who has a college degree from UNO or someplace. She said, "I had to axe the agent about the underwriting file."

You can take the persons out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the persons.

Not just white people. Go take a walk around the Audubon Zoo. The monkeys, tigers and elephants can't say it either!

Did you stop her and say, "I'm sorry, you had to what the agent?"

As someone born and raised in that forsaken dumpster fire I still have a hard time pronouncing ask when using it in a conversation (I speak fast). I hold two graduate degrees in STEM and have been a professional in the STEM field for over 15 years. My friends give me shite and I’m sure I’m judged, but my bank account couldn’t care less.

Axe and ask are two different things.

People in New Orleans voted for Latoya, twice. So that gives you a hint of the type of idiots that live there.

My first big boy job was at a prison. The first day of training, the head of the training department taught a class on “ex-scapes.” Downhill from there.
