Que up James Cameron. Titanic 2 the sequel
Posted on 6/19/23 at 11:14 am to crap4brain
Definitely read titanic as and adjective in the title

I think paying $5000/night for the Disney Star Wars hotel is a more sound financial decision than doing something as dumb as this.

How could anyone be expected to know such a thing?

I hate open water and not being able to see the bottom. I can’t imagine willingly getting in one of those tiny subs to go look at a coral reef 100 ft down let alone go see the titanic. I hope they find them.

fricked around with mother nature and found out.
Dumb fricks.

I hope they find them.
But probably not alright, if you get my drift.

This would be horrifying to go through. When that thing imploded that must be sheer torture. Hopefully it was almost instantaneous

Pretty sure it’s instant death under those pressures. Think I remember reading once that the water superheats and turns to steam when the hull collapses.

When I was at elleshue I was on a crew to dive on the alvin to the seeps in gom. Cruise got weathered out and it wasn't my primary research so i got bumped on later cruises. Wanted to do it, but was a little nervous.
Hope the sub is recovered and all are well, prayers to family and friends if outcome is not good

That's probably not anymore than 1 or 2 bar difference. Now imagine that at an instantaneous 500 bar difference.

Yay, let's ride in a cramped small sub of questionable safety to look at a rusting boat underwater.
Neat

Lets go down 12,500' in a tube designed to go down to 13,123'. Yeah, frick all that.

It is actually instantaneous. Dead before they know it. The pressure is so great the atmosphere burns at the instant it goes.
