RORY McILROY has taken another swipe at golf’s Saudi-backed rebels and questioned whether they are playing for “dirty money”.
This took me 2 seconds to find.

None of the PGA players should accept that blood money, amirite?

Water is wet
Follow the money
This is business in the end and they will take money because what choice do they have
Much like nba, mlb, and nfl
Eventually you realize your worth and take it
Very few have F you money and say no

You're sick! You should seek medical help before you hurt yourself.

1. When did Rory blame anyone for taking the money? Or when did he harp on blood money? Or better yet, show me any of the players that made it about blood money. You and Martin Kaymer have the same stupid talking points that make zero sense
You must not watch golf at all, that whiny little baby was the main one pontificating about it.

Did you read the article you dumbass?
He literally says he would be fine taking Saudi money. So thank you for posting the article showing y’all were dead wrong about Rory and the blood money angle

“In this day and age, everything is just so intertwined. “It’s hard to separate sport from politics and dirty money from clean money.

If it’s so hard for him to separate dirty money from clean money, shouldn’t his morals force him to find another job that’s easier to see the good from evil?
He’s a hypocritical whiny punk bottom line. I guess his morals aren’t that strong after all

If you don't think Rory's team wasn't given a number to go to LIV you have your head in the sand.
Posted on 6/16/23 at 1:42 pm to lsupride87
Im a dumbass because I quoted the article word for word and he actually does connect them to dirty money. You asked for an example of a player doing it. He did. He was more political about it. But it still happened. I knew you would spin it because you’re in full meltdown mode since June 6th.
Posted on 6/16/23 at 6:03 pm to ell_13
He connected them? Or someone asked him, and he literally refused to say they were dirty money, and instead said he would be fine himself taking Saudi money. And like a democrat you posted a clickbait headline and fell for it?
And yes, quoting a liberal journalist headline without reading the article does make you a typical dumbass. Because you quoted the journalist words, not Rory’s.

When he said it was hard to separate dirty money from clean money, who was he referring to?

Paying them is the correct move. It is beyond weird that you were downvoted. This board is insane in sucking off LIV. More Sports Board a lot more logical.

Does not say anything about payments..there was something about ownership shares in the new for profit entity

Can’t wait to see how this works out from a legal standpoint, if at all.

Paying them is insane and a bailout for players who didn't make a good business decision for themselves. Players left for money, other players stayed out of a loyalty that now means nothing. No way should they be reimbursed for something they turned down in the first place. Put that money in the game off golf, not guys who talked smack and were too holy to accept that type of money.

I agree.
Personally I think it's terrible that the game of Golf has become intertwined with the Saudi fund or for that matter any other entity.
Greed has infiltrated the game of gentlemen and its not a good look.
The history of the game has to be protected at all costs.

They aren't paying PGA players who were coerced into staying with the PGA Tour. This was a PR leak to keep the PGA players from revolting even further. The PIF isn't paying these guys who rejected them unless they are drafted in the international LIV Team tour.
But Norman, who lives in Palm Beach Gardens and has operated LIV Golf out of its West Palm Beach office, had a 30-minute call with more than 100 staffers Wednesday and, according to Sports Illustrated, told them, "LIV is and will continue to be a stand alone enterprise. Our business model will not change. We changed history and we're not going anywhere."
He added. "there will be no operational changes in 2023, 2024, 2025 and into the future."
Monahan was asked if he believes LIV will exist a year from now.
"I don't want to make any statements or make any predictions," he said. "But what is in place is a commitment to make a good-faith effort to look at team golf and the role it can play going forward.

This is for the LIV is going away crowd because Jay is in charge. Don't buy into the PR BS that the PGA Board is trying to cast. The Majesticks aren't exactly the top team in LIV but it shows you the advertisers outside the US know its continuing even with an older and non-relevant team.
LIV Golf Team Majesticks GC has secured its first official global sponsor, crypto exchange OKX.
The team, which is co-captained by Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Henrik Stenson, will wear the OKX logo on its kits and will collaborate to offer “innovative Web3 engagement opportunities and fan experiences to a global audience at the League's tournaments.”
OKX is the second largest crypto exchange in the world by trading volume and also has interests in other sports, including as partners of English Premier League champions Manchester City FC, McLaren Formula 1, Olympian Scotty James, and F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo.

It may work, but it’s a crypto firm. They’re ok taking on riskier investments for upside.
