My guess is that the likelihood of a delay was less than 50%. That means they knew that more likely than not that it wasn’t absolutely necessary to postpone the start. My question to you is what % chance of a delay frickin Skenes start would you have been okay with?
From 7-10 it still shows a 50% chance of rain….

Raining in east BR now. Not sure if it'll get to campus or not.

They make websites for that.

Thundering, wind blowing & getting darker in Central

In Central, it's not a threat to campus or the radius. But the game is at 7 anyways so this cell would be gone by then.

Line of storms approaching Alexandria moving to the SE. Should be pouring in Baton Rouge at 7pm.

It's almost like a site like WeatherUnderground could have seen this coming. Some give me DM info for the NCAA so I can let them know of this fantastic resource.

ESPN just showed the game will be on ESPN TV.

You mean the site that shows a 15% chance of rain at 7 PM and 0 inches of rain over the next 7 hours?
Posted on 6/10/23 at 4:47 pm to OchoDedos
That line of storms is SUPPOSED to break up before getting into BR. Is that a guarantee? No…

I'm looking at the radar, which is specifically what I posted links to twice in this thread.
We had posters hours ago talking about driving through bad stuff in N Louisiana, and the wind pattern clearly puts BR in the crosshairs. Could it just disappear when it hits Alexandria? Maybe.
Let's just rely on your finger in the air and the gut feeling of the NCAA.
