what's wrong with a wooden match?
You should really be lighting cigars with cedar, anyway.

I had one that gave me almost 20 years of service, and believe it or not, I picked it up at the weekend flea market at the French Market around 2001 or 2002.
It was a cheap, $3.00 Blazer knock-off. At herfs (cigar smoking events) it would sit in the middle of the table with everyone else's lighters, and they'd pull out the $300 S.T. Dupont lighters and such, and end up having to use mine.

Yeah, I'd like to stick to 20 dollars or less, lol

DO NOT spend more than 15 bucks on a silly lighter.
I have one of these that I bought locally for about $12
I have had this for years. I use it for BBQing, camp fires, Cigars, everything.
This is my second one only due to my first one swelling up in the summer heat in my truck. I had that one for many years as well.

Zippo lighters run right around $20.00 and they make a torch insert that takes butane instead of regular naphtha lighter fluid.

I have one. Stopped working after the first time I used it.

There are quite few Chinese made versions of that one pictured. One of my local cigar shops sells one for 9 bucks. I have two and they've never had an issue.
Just lit up to sit on the patio for a work call.

My SO will sometimes snag my culinary torch (I think I got it for $10) if he forgets to refill his old butane cigar torch. His torch has lasted for about 10 years, I was going to post a link but it looks like they don’t make the one he has anymore.

First thing that pops into my head every time I hear/see the word "butane."

Xikar start around $40 but they have lifetime warranties. I’ve gone through several and they have always been replaced no questions asked.

Same. I have had plenty of trouble with it.
Cheap-o 4 jet torch lighter still going strong after more than a decade though.

There's a good reason Xikar has such generous warranties.
You'll need to use them.

Only way a warranty on a lighter would be useful is if it covered me losing the damn thing.
