Saint Germain is easily the best of the bunch.

The price is extremely high but its one of the better meals I've ever had in NOLA.

Would like different price ranges. Not opposed to spending more if its worth it but would like some cheaper options too.

I'm not sure this really exist with true tasting menus.

I guess Costera's "feed me" option would be in the "cheaper" category, although still not cheap.

Coquette's 5 course blind tasting is like 85. Lengua Madre is around the same price I think.

Haven’t been, but Lengua Madre has one. Heard good things. I’m checking it out next month.

I've done Saint Germain, Lengua Madre, Luvi, and Costera multiple times, and Coquette once.

Saint German is arguably my favorite place in NOLA. They would (will) be stared if (when) Michelin did (does) a NOLA guide. More traditional tasting menu.

Lengua Madre would at minimum be Bib Gourmand. It is innovative and unique, and the chef does a great job of incorporating her Mexican roots with NOLA ties. They had a masa and blue crab dish one time we went that was outstanding.

Luvi and Costera technically have feed me options that are solid but not really traditional tasting menus. Luvi's raw feed me is great, and they have some nice creativity. There is usually a cheese incorporated into one of the dishes which I love. Costera is probably my second favorite place in NOLA, but the feed me menu is kind of not worth it if you go with a group and can already order a bunch of plates.

It's been a few years since I've been to Coquette for the tasting menu but I remember liking it but thinking it was a little overpriced. I've had other food they've done and it is always good, and they have an amazing track record of producing quality chefs.

Gianna does a monthly tasting menu that is based on a different region of Italian cooking that has been outstanding the times I have gone. The new chef there has really elevated the food, and they are turning out some great stuff. Could be something to check out.

A VERY good option is the Omakase at the Yakuza House.

The best one I have been to is the Chef's Table at Commander's Palace.

Has anyone been to Emeril's since they became a tasting menu restaurant? Someone gave me a gift certificate that I have to use.

$135 doesn't seem bad at all for a tasting menu

I had no idea the menu had changed so radically. I only recognize the bbq shrimp with rosemary biscuit.

For New Orleans, is high. For a tasting menu in a big city, possibly not so much, I have certainly spent a lot more.

I think my bill with drinks was $400ish for two

Emeril’s is a testing menu format now. Well they have a La carte in the salon but the restaurant is tasting. A 3 course with options and 2 7 course ones. Haven’t been, but going soon, and have heard incredibly positive things.

Do report back when you go.

I admit that I already miss some of the old dishes. Their greens with the sausage was delicious dish. I tried to make them using the recipe, but mine were not close to the restaurant version. They were sort of crunchy almost.

Is this a recent review. I went two years ago and was super excited. I got the “feed me” and it was shite. I’m not picky but the food was so greasy and just not good. I’ve never been back.
