Skenes dominates giving you a 1-0 lead.

Floyd dominates giving you 6.0 IP, 1 ER, 10 Ks, and leaves with the lead.

Who are you bringing out of the pen to send you to Omaha?

Coleman then Herring probably. Maybe Guidry or Money thrown in there. Those are probably the only 4 I’d consider using.

Dude, I foresee a small problem before this situation can occur.

Game 1: Coleman to close it out.

Game 2: I hate saying this, but I bring out Money and hope he can go 2+ without giving up a crooked number. Then I go to Guidry to close it out.

Right now, Johnson is trying to preserve their arms and not have a repeat of last season when the pitching staff broke down in postseason. I think he lets them both go longer in the Super Regional. Skenes will go at least 8 if necessary and Floyd goes 120 pitches however far that gets him. After that, I probably trust Coleman the most to give 2 innings or less. If they need more than that, I’d go with Money.

If he still looks good in the Super at that point I think they keep him in another inning. Several things change once you get to the Supers, including pitch counts. I think you then bring in Coleman, Guidry, Herring etc. and keep them in only as long as they are throwing well, maybe even an inning or less based on the situation. It's all about winning that day in the supers, particularly true when trying to get win #2 to advance, as far as the bullpen goes

If we're not bashing whoever we're playing anygame post season, we're in a world of shite. Blowing a 9 run lead I'm afraid is an omen.

Skenes...................I know.

How's about if they both pitch a complete game? Can we have that?

I'm leaving Floyd in until he gets into trouble. Hopefully you can stretch him to 8. Then bring in Coleman.

SEC action only

ERAs:
Money 4.70
Cooper 5.70
Herring 5.74
Collins 6.35
Guidry 6.52
Coleman 6.75
Dutton 7.71
Ack 9.00
Little 13.20
Hurd 19.29

I believe those 10 were the ones listed on our 27 man roster this weekend.

Johnson has his work cut out for him.

With a 3 run lead with a runner on, there's enough of a lead to play to win that game...but barely.

I'm going Coleman then Guidry/Herring if Coleman maintains the lead. Coleman probably can't finish from there so you have to plan for that 2nd change.

If we have a 5-6 run lead, I'm going to Cooper.

I still don't trust Money in a close game. But, he's a good option with a lead when you can't see the end of the game clearly and need outs.
